Renovation/Rejuvenation Project

Current Renovations: Tapa Tower Retail Promenade(5/8/2012 - 4/30/2013):
Tapa Tower Retail Promenade exterior work has been completed. There are three (3) stores whose interiors remain unfinished, and the expected completion dates are February 15 or April 30 depending upon the store.

Current Renovations: Rainbow Tower Mural(7/21/2013 - 11/15/2014):
The Rainbow Tower Mural will undergo a full rejuvenation. We expect the weeks of Aug 15-Sep 15, 2013 (Mountain-side) and Sep 20-Oct 24, 2013 (Ocean-side) to be the most noisy as they will be removing the old tiles. This work should cause little to no inconvenience
to guests as it is contained on the 'mountain-side' and 'ocean-side' of the Rainbow Tower and is located in an area where few guests traverse.

Current Renovations: Main Lobby (Front Desk, Bell Desk, and Lobby Restrooms)(8/1/2013 - 12/28/2013):
The temporary check-in area will be relocated to the opposite end of the current lobby what was formerly the Shell Bar. The temporary bell desk will be located in the center of the Main Lobby area.

Current Renovations: Rainbow Drive Adhesive Project(5/1/2013 - 8/1/2013):
Resurfacing of Rainbow Drive will requiring one lane closure at a time. Additional safety officers will be onsite directing traffic and guest crossings. The work area will be enclosed via barricades. Work will include the use of typical heavy machinery
and equipment associated with asphalt resurfacing (Steamroller, Paver, Dump truck, Excavator/Mini-Excavator).
While the resort will do everything possible to mitigate guest disturbance, construction could be disturbing at many levels, depending upon the project, the timeline and what is being done, when.

Current Renovations: Alii Tower Ocean View Terrace Bar and Restrooms(4/1/2013 - 6/15/2013):
Renovation of the existing restrooms, making them ADA compliant (new finishes, new fixtures, replacing 1 for 1). Renovation of the existing bar top and face as well as refurbishing the liquor storage cabinets. All work will take place within the pool deck
of Alii Tower on the 2nd floor The nearest public areas would be the pool and fitness room, both of which are to remain open throughout the renovation. Tropics and Pronto pickle below construction area Barricades will be used to section off areas under construction.
Standard demolition tools (to remove existing concrete and walls) and standard construction tools (tile saw, grinder, drills, nail guns, claw hammers, target saws) will be used for this project.
Ali’i Tower 2nd Floor- Ocean View Terrace Bar and Restrooms will be closed for the duration of the project. Additionally, noise may be heard in Alii lobby, Pronto Pickle and Tropics Bar and Grill and Super pool.
The pool desk and fitness area will remain open throughout the renovation.

Current Renovations: Lagoon Railing Replacement(4/1/2013 - 6/15/2013):
The railings and gates along the sidewalk between the Paradise Pool and the Lagoon are being replaced. Each section removed will be reinstalled the same day.
Standard construction tools (battery-operated screwdrivers, etc) will be used. This will not be a loud or disruptive project.

Current Renovations: Diamond Head Tower 14th Floor Water Intrusion & Affected 13th Floor Room Renovations(4/1/2013 - 7/30/2013):
The railings, floor tile and pipe enclosures on the 14th Floor lanais on the Makai Tower, Diamond Head side of Diamond Head Tower will be removed in order to mitigate a water intrusion issue stemming from the lanais. New aluminum railings will be installed
as well as waterproofing of the lanai floor and new floor tile and the reconstruction of pipe enclosures.
Chipping guns, tile saws, and standard construction tools will be used for this project. During demolition, noise will be heard at the Tapa Bar, Tropics Bar & Grille, and Alii Starbucks.
Work will be confined to the 13th floor rooms and the 14th floor lanais of the Makai Tower, DH side.
