MILWAUKEE, April 27, 2009, 12:45 p.m. CDT – The recent cases of swine influenza in the United States and Mexico are in the early stages of investigation. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has not recommended that people avoid travel to Mexico at this time. In addition, the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations public health arm, is also not recommending any travel or trade restrictions. Funjet Vacations is advising people planning to vacation in Mexico to maintain their travel plans, based on the CDC and WHO situation status. Travelers should follow the CDC’s recommendations and visit WHO’s Web site for more information.
