Las Vegas

The entertainment capital of the world.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas isn’t a place you visit. It’s a place you do. And there’s lots to do.

Usually when a destination says it has something for everyone, it has one something that’s really not that interesting for anyone. Las Vegas is the exception. You can make a Las Vegas getaway anything you want, because everything you could want is here. World-class spas, haute couture shopping and restaurants from celebrity chefs. Mountain hikes, thrill rides and all-night parties. Famous casinos and even more famous entertainers. Romance. Family. Adrenaline. There’s a thousand different vacations here; you just have to pick one.

Old School Vegas

If you’re looking for old School Vegas, you'll find it on Fremont Street. The heart of downtown's casino district is great for inexpensive drinks, tables, and great people watching. Take a guided tour of the city and be sure to stop by the Mob Museum for a little history. Then head up to the Neon Boneyard, a collection of more than 150 of Vegas’ classic neon signs from the 1930s to present day.

Travel Tip

The iconic "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign is actually about 4 miles outside the city limits, south of Mandalay Bay at the very end of the Las Vegas Strip.

High-Energy Excitement

If you want the latest and greatest, high-end shopping and hottest restaurants, try some of the newer areas like City Center or the promenade between Linq and Flamingo. Enjoy a cocktail while you take a ride on the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel; a sunset or nighttime ride is a must to see the city at its most glittering. Between raucous dayclubs (think pool party plus nightclub) and some of the hottest nightclubs in the world, you can party 24 hours a day.

Travel Tip

No need to choose between playing the tables and enjoying the weather. Carnival Court at Harrah’s has DJs, live music and blackjack all day (and night) long.

Since its Rat Pack Days, Vegas has been synonymous with legendary entertainment. That tradition continues today with Cirque du Soleil spectaculars, Broadway-caliber musicals like Rock of Ages and concert headliners including Celine Dion, Elton John and Britney Spears. And despite the city’s racy reputation, there’s no shortage of family-friendly shows that will delight all ages.

Travel Tip

Although you're in the desert, remember that casinos keep the temperature very cool. Dress for summer, but bring a light sweater for when you're dominating the blackjack table.

Wonders Both Man-Made and Natural

If you think Las Vegas is stuck in the middle of nowhere, think again. There’s Red Rock Canyon to the west, Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon to the east and the rugged beauty of the Mojave Desert to the south. From Las Vegas there are a variety of day tours to all these locations. Experience the southwest whatever way you want, whether on horseback or behind the wheel of an ATV.

Travel Tip

Just browse "add-ons" when reserving your vacation package to book anything from helicopter tours of the Grand Canyon to private city tours with Elvis in his Pink Cadillac.
