Construction on the new MGM MIRAGE City Center is taking place adjacent to the Monte Carlo and is scheduled to be completed in late 2009.
Monte Carlo’s Street of Dreams retail area is closed for renovations. In preparation for the opening of the tram, connecting the Monte Carlo to Bellagio and City Center’s Aria and Vdara, Monte Carlo will welcome 10 new retail outlets into the newly renovated space in late 2009.
Market City Café is closed. D’VINO will open in its place in late September 2009, adding an Italian eatery and wine bar for guests to enjoy.

Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act
Nevada voters have passed the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act that prohibits smoking in many indoor public spaces. As a result, the new statute permits smoking in only four areas: smoking designated hotel rooms, gaming areas of the casino floor, retail tobacco shops, and certain stand-alone bars and night clubs where food is not served.
Smoking is not permitted in any other indoor public space, including: restaurants, lounges where food is served, hotel lobbies, elevators, guest room hallways, theaters, arenas, arcades, retail stores, meeting and convention areas, and other indoor public spaces.

BRAND's menu is rich with imaginative interpretations of classic steakhouse favorites and features big, bold one-of-a-kind chops making this a serious steakhouse. Diablo's Cantina - Sultry and spicy, the sirens of Diablo's Mexican Cantina greet Vegas passersbys in front of Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino. This two tier Mexican hotspot is your one stop destination regardless of what time of day it is. Located in front of Monte Carlo directly on the Las Vegas strip, Diablo's welcoming party atmosphere and energizing vibe draw the eclectic audiences that peruse Las Vegas Blvd. Serving Mexican food with an American twist, this innovative Mexican hotspot combines one part restaurant with one part nightclub to create a perfectly blended margarita of sin and cuisine seven days a week - salted rim optional.
Andre's Restaurant & Lounge - Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at Monte Carlo has reopened with a new look, new offerings and a new chef de cuisine. Considered the first Las Vegas celebrity chef, Andre Rochat has enhanced his AAA Four Diamond restaurant by combining its original old-world charm with a modern twist to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The bar provides a beautiful backdrop to enjoy a menu of small plates, artisanal cheeses and charcuterie before proceeding to the dining room. To complement the bar menu, wine flights and unique cognac flights are available to sample old favorites or possibly discover new ones from Andre’s award-winning, 12,000-bottle cellar, in addition to a wine list with more than 1,500 selections. Upstairs, guests will discover three private dining rooms as well as the intimate Cigar Lounge, recognized in 2008 by Santé as “Outstanding Restaurant Bar.” The menu features traditional French cuisine overseen nightly by Chef Rochat, who gives his personal stamp of approval to each plate before it leaves the kitchen.
Dragon Noodle Co. & Sushi Bar - offering classic Chinese cuisine, house made dim sum and sushi in a hip, new, vibrant atmosphere. Some favorites on the menu include Hong Kong chow mein noodles with seafood and house made bbq pork buns. The Cosplay Lounge is where Dragon Noodle’s own master mixologists create handcrafted ‘tiki’ cocktails.
