May 13, 2025Quality has drastically declined.
This is our third time visiting and we definitely will not be back. First, it’s a Secrets in name only. There are no bath robes, no slippers, and no Secrets toiletries. They give you fewer toiletries than a 3 star Marriott. Second, it’s the worst service I’ve had anywhere, ever. We are on Day 2 and both mornings nobody had offered me coffee by the time I finished breakfast and I had to leave my table to ask for coffee. They forgot to bring the glass of wine I requested at lunch also. They don’t offer service at the pool. You have to go to the bar if you want anything. I cannot remember any property like that. The food options are seriously lacking. Only one restaurant (the French) plus the buffet were open the first night we tried to have dinner here. The 3 entree options at the French restaurant were veal, duck, and fish. No vegetarian options. Many people don’t eat those things. Who wants to eat at a buffet 3 times per day?? Last issue- the rooms are horribly maintained. The glass shower in our “upgraded room” is cracked and the wallpaper is covered in some gross yellow mess. See photos. If we hadn’t used our free premier week from our vacation club to stay here, I’d be asking for a credit.

May 12, 2025First time stay at Secrets St. Maarten - won't be our last!
Secret's St. Maarten is an amazing resort. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. Our room was on the third floor but at the end of the building so we had a view of the water. The large pool starts off with a shallow end winding around to a deep infinity end. Food was all very good. We are excited to return after the renovations are complete that begin at the end of the month

3 star resort. Needs remodeling and maintenance badly. The employees were 100% awesome, they made my vacation extremely pleasant...Secrets needs more food options!!! Also they need to keep up on the liquor supply at all the bars. Do not pay for preferred not worth it one bit! Thank you to all the employees they were awesome. The pool and beach spectacular. It is one beautiful island please rent a car and explore awesome food, bars and beaches on the French and Dutch sides. Also goto other island's highly recommended. We were fortunate to see the islands carnaval parade on the Dutch side OMG beautiful 😍.The island is why I was there not the resort. Mark and Brenda

Ehhh
Definitely needs to be updated, but the staff was very friendly. The food was good, however it was hard to enjoy on the grounds because the flies were attaching us. Hot tub needed. With all that being said, we still had a good time. Love the staff!

May 04, 2025Worst all inclussive ever....
I've been to more that 30 all-inclusive resorts throughout the Caribbean and Mexico. I prefer adults only --- and Secrets St. Martin was by far the worst! When we arrived, our room was ready (hasn't always been the case). Check in was quick and easy. Our front desk person brought us to our room. The room appeared nice enough and clean. After unpacking we noted that the TV didn't work. Picked up the phone to call the front desk and that didn't work either. Walked back up to the lobby and advised them. They informed us they would send a technician. Within a few minutes a technician arrived, assessed the situation, and advised us that the wi-fi wasn't working and they would notify IT. We waited for three hours, no one came back and TV still wasn't working. Another trip to the lobby and was told that IT was working on it from home. I complained that no one informed us and they couldn't tell us when it would be fixed. I complained to the manager who moved us to another room. Not as nice as the original one. The shower was wide open with no glass partions. Floor was always wet. Beach was clean, water was calm and clear. No rocks! Restaurants were a disaster. The main buffet was totally infested with flies and gnats. Not just a handful --- hundreds of them! Birds flying all over. Flies landed on everything! It was downright disgusting. On more than one occasion I was so grossed out, we left with just a container of yogurt. Seemed to be the only thing that flies couldn't land on. They should really fumigate it like other resorts -- fog the entire property at night or early morning, would all but eliminate these pests. Place is in dire need of an update.
