Nov 08, 2025We came for our honeymoon and we do not want to leave. This place is incredible. It has our hearts!
The people here are amazing, the grounds are incredible, romantic dinner and breakfast in bed were amazing!!! The pool activities were out of this world.

Amazing Staff!
What an amazing trip! What made it even more special was the staff! Amazing Bartenders Ronald(Rhonaldhino),Alonso(have to try the Alonso special shots !)Ronnie (Master bartender ) Adrian,Joshua(Milamor),Victor also check out Christian and Karla at Asian restaurant truly amazing people. Fernando (el chele) and last but not least the amazing entertainment coordinator Merari (kids loved the bracelets ) Aaaaaah Daddy Rooster !

Our stay at Secrets Papagayo was, for the most part, quite enjoyable. We had 2 major complaints. First, the furniture, both in the room and poolside, really needs replacing. We had to place extra pillows on our couch so as to provide some padding and not sink down. The cushions on the lounge chairs at the pools have very little padding left. Furthermore, more shade is needed poolside. If you didn't get out early and place some towels on chaise lounges under an umbrella, you were out of luck. I think only about half the lounge chairs have umbrellas. Our other complaint has to do with the Unlimited Vacation Club representatives. These people tell you about all these VIP benefits and credits. Be aware that these people are really just trying to get you in a room and pressure you into buying into their vacation club. We figured it out early enough and told them to take a hike.

Absolutely amazing!!
Secrets in Costa Rica was amazing. Emily in activities is absolutely amazing. She is very kind and loves to make sure you enjoy your time. They need a little better transport system but with the hills I understand why they need to use the mini vans. I would come back here again.
