Little slice of paradise
I wish I could hoard this resort by saying this is a horrible place but I think the word is out anyways and no one would believe it. Truth is, Las Brisas Huatulco is a beautiful resort with lots to do and things to see. Friendly people there and a vibe that was relaxing yet invigorating. Very clean. Fresh tasting food, generous with the water bottles (which we appreciated because who wants heat stroke, right?) The BBC Lounge was wonderful as were the staff there. Our room was beautiful and clean and gifted us with a spectacular view. Lounge chairs were challenging to get but generally there were enough for everyone somewhere. My only complaint was that I enjoyed the Tequila hard ice cream at the a la carte restaurant one night and wish that it could have been more readily available!

We’ll be back
Had a great trip to Las Brisas. This resort if huge and until you see it in person it’s hard to imagine the size and amount of steps! That being said the carts are running from the main lobby constantly. There are phones outside the rooms to call for rides as well. Once we figured out the paths we did more walking in the morning and evening. Would be nice if their maps showed all the trails. I really enjoyed the food at the buffet and snack bar. Some items could have been kept warmer though. We ate at the a la carte’s every other night. While it was good for a change the food at the buffet was better for my personal taste. I think if you are a seafood lover then a la carte’s would be more enjoyable. I was a little surprised by how course the sand is. It is much easier to walk on than the Barcelo beach though. Ocean is very calm in the bay and we enjoyed floating in the water. Snorkelling was good, saw lots of fish, stingrays and a turtle. There were unusual cold tides when we visited which brought fog one day and cold water. With the cold water brought jellyfish. I was stung among as well as a few others I saw. The sting wasn’t very painful and the lifeguard put vinegar on shortly after. Xoshi (not sure if spelled correct) was the best waitress on the beach. She was always very happy and quick with service. Our room was dated but clean. We had an issue with the toilet leaking and they were there in minutes to fix it. We had the basic deluxe room. Missed having a balcony to dry clothes. Beds were very comfortable. Would be nice if you could grab water at the beach before 11. It is hot and some days I forgot to grab a water with breakfast. Husband was disappointed the gym was closed for a week of our stay. He would have liked the gym to open at 6 and be cooler. The gym was very well equipped. Cant beat the weather in Huatulco. 14 days of hot sunny weather. Looking forward to going back.

Weather and beach hard to beat
This was our 3rd visit. We stayed n the Brisas beach club area in order to get access to unlimited a la cartes , a balcony & upgraded liquor. Friends stayed in a junior suite in a different area and also received the upgraded amenities (white bracelet). Rooms are showing their age but housekeeping does a good job of keeping things clean. We come back primarily for the weather and the beach. Yes, there are lots of stairs. My phone tells me I averaged 23 flights of stairs and walked over 3 miles a day. Grounds are beautiful so eat the dessert and enjoy the walk if you are able. Carts are available from the lobby to the rooms but ii think it would be quite difficult to get around without taking some stairs. We ate breakfast in the Mexican restaurant where the omelette lady is the best. Lunch at the buffet was very good with many hot, fresh options including Mexican items, sushi, freshly grilled fish and chicken as well as standard buffet fare. We ate at all of the a la cartes more than once and found some good but some not so good. Better attention to consistency, quality and temperature of food is needed. Would love to see the menus changed periodically for those of us who come back yearly. All staff we connected with were very courteous and helpful.

Second home.
We call Las Bria’s our second home! The staff are friendly professional knowledgeable the resort is well maintained. Due to the size you never feel crowded. Special thanks to the water sports team Francisco, Freddy and the rest of crew that helps us enjoy kayaking sailing and paddle boarding!

Overall beautiful location, would highly recommend the beach club rooms for the nice views and private lunge/bar access
Loved how spread out the resort villages/rooms were; allowed for quieter setting. View from the beaches club balconies was very nice and the balcony jacuzzi tub was a nice bonus. We don't mind walking and the stairs but when we had lots to carry or in the evenings we never had issues catching the trolleys and we were in one of the furthest points on the resort to everything. Despite the size of the resort, we were able on most occasions able to get a couple of lounge chairs on the beach or pool side however they never enforced the state policy of not allowing people reserving chairs by leaving towels on them early each morning. Snorkel beach had a decent little reef that was accessible during high tide. especially good for beginners or kids. was very calm and had a good selection of fish and even saw a sea turtle...great selection of courts, gym, pool and beach activities available at no extra cost. We booked the Beach club rooms so we had access to the private BBC lounge. was very convenient for a light breakfast or spot to sit and have a drink easily in the later afternoon. Staff there was exceptional and we always had a small but decent selection of food available. outside balcony had some pheasants and birds off in the gardens which was nice to watch. A little odd location but was well enough marked that we still found it. Only complaint was that it closed by 7pm and there were many evenings it would have been nice to be able to have a nightcap there after dinner since we didn't stay most nights for the evening entertainment. We had unlimited a la cartes but key is to book them as soon as you arrive and before 5pm. the A la cartes were hit and miss. some good, others only okay. Our very favorite was the steakhouse but again, good the first time, not as good the second. We only ate at the main buffet once for dinner and only breakfast 3 times but I think the selection and quality of the food there may have been better than some of the a la cartes. Either way we were always able to find something good to eat. Drinks could be hit and miss depending on the bartender but again on average can't complain.
