-
Great resort.
Tremendous facility - lots of fresh and salt water opportunities for people of all ages. Grand Club was great for breakfast, snacks, and night-time food. All staff were friendly and helpful, but especially so in the Grand Club. The arrival/departure lounge was a nice touch when flight times do not line up with check-in and check-out times. Had a large staff for booking events, though we had already booked ours before arriving.

Marvelous hotel with spectacular amenities
My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for a work conference. It is a beautiful property with spectacular amenities. The pools are clean and expansive. There is a great hiking path next to the hotel (Heritage trail) that goes for miles on the coastline. It is on a wonderful beach where a monk seal swam up (and was protected). While not inexpensive, the hotel did include everything we could want. There was a nespresso machine in the room with pods. Aluminum water bottles were provided and abundant filling stations with fresh, filtered water. All of the staff were super-accommodating and friendly. There was guest laundry (self service) at no additional cost with soap provided. Upon checkout, we had a very late flight, but the hotel had a hospitality lounge, complete with showers and lockers, so we could enjoy a full day of beautiful Kauai, and cleanup and change before our flight. Ironically our late night flight was cancelled, and our airline put us up in the Royal Sonesta. While also a beautiful property, water in the room was $9 a bottle and every little thing was extra. Would not hesitate to stay at the Grand Hyatt again and highly recommend it.

Service beyond expectations
Upon our arrival at the Grand Hyatt, we encountered exceptional service. My husband had alerted guest services of our anniversary & my birthday. We were offered an upgraded room, bottle of champagne for our anniversary. The resort is clean and staff welcoming. One improvement -- we would have liked regular coffee vs espresso in our room. Yes, some parts of the resort -such as the pools -- need repair. The lazy river doesn't have much of a current. However, we enjoyed ourselves and the staff at the resort, especially the adult pool was attentive. We hiked near the hotel which we would recommend. We are grateful for our stay at the resort. Every detail was beyond what my husband requested for my birthday and our anniversary. We had a dinner in the private dining area at Tidepool. Les, our server, could easily be the best server we have ever encountered. Les - who has worked at the resort for 35 years since it opened - recommended appetizers and entrees and preparation of our meals. I have a shellfish allergy, Les spoke with the chef to ensure my safety so my husband could order shellfish. And the cake baked for my birthday was incredible. This stay was part one of our vacation -- we also stayed at an Inn to have a different experience on the Island.

Always a Great Experience at the Grand Hyatt Kauai
The Grand Hyatt Kauai is always a wonderful experience. We had an amazing room that was large with a great view from the balcony overlooking the ocean. Service is superb. There wasn't a single disappointment. The hotel is in a great location to view the humpback whales from the shore and a short drive to Pouipu Beach to snorkel with green sea turtles and reef fish. We look forward to returning!

There’s no questioning the nickname “Garden Isle”! Stunningly Beautiful!
One of the most beautiful places I have visited within the US! Hiking without worry for snakes, rodents, or any worrisome predators other than chickens was glorious! The food options were second to few! Transportation was not bad (traffic is a little heavy a few times per day on the main routes). Flight options to mainland was fairly limited though. Grand Hyatt was a wonderful spot for a conference! Highly. Highly recommend Kauai as a travel destination at least once in your lifetime! You won't regret the money spent!
