Quiet, Comfy Room...Not Gluten Friendly
We had a Building 1 studio overlooking the pool and bar and this ended up being a great location. When we wanted some Jimmy Buffet ambiance we threw open the slider (no screen, too bad). With the slider closed and room darkening shades in place we had no trouble taking an afternoon siesta. The king size bed was comfortable, drawer space was ample and the A/C kept us cool. Oddly, while the overall room lighting was rather dim, there unfortunately was a myriad of annoying lights (some flashing) that interrupted our sleep at night. We could have used more long hanging space in the wardrobe but this was a minor inconvenience. There are no USB ports and my power brick kept falling out of the outlet that was by the bed. Good water pressure from both the fixed and hand held shower faucets. Plenty of hot water. Some hooks or a retractable line would have been great for drying wet suits. A shallow drawer in the vanity to supplement the open storage under the sink would have been helpful. Note the supplied hair dryer does not include a diffuser attachment. Excellent Wi-Fi. I used Zoom to attend a meeting virtually and had no issues. Strong cell phone signal - I have Verizon. Lower level pool was very enjoyable, with lots of seating & umbrella options and plenty of space to spread out. Enjoyed the ping pong table and corn hole and appreciated the easy access to the bar, restrooms and restaurant. There were some pretty cheesy but harmless scheduled activities (Bingo, Name That Tune etc) but it was easy enough not to partake in these offerings. Overall a friendly vibe. With the exception of 1 female bartender, the staff were all pleasant and helpful. We especially appreciated the gentleman who made our dishwasher stop beeping at us! As to the food options...extremely limited for someone with a gluten intolerance. No GF bread options, no GF salad dressings (not even plain oil & vinegar) and so much of the menu is breaded and deep-fried. No corn tortillas, no rice or spinach wraps...typical bar food, with no fresh vegetables to be found. Fine when I was 13 but this adult expected to see more healthy options. Just like Mother Nature, nearby Coki Beach is gorgeous but a bit unpredictable. We had one day of calm, tranquil water and another day with pummeling waves. That's the beauty of having both beach and pool access - options. Overall 3.50. Although I enjoyed the staff and facilities, I also needed to eat.

Plus many Cats, chickens, Iguanas… some if them are using the pool sides to poop around the pool. Hellooo maintenance!!!

Fun resort - poor food.
Very nice stay, we were fortunate to have a unit right across from the pool. The food at the restaurant is bad, but Sun and Sail is very close and a short cab ride to Red Hook offers lots of options. Overall we were very happy. it is on the other side of the island. Also cabs are expensive, and they are per person. For the six of us it was $150 each way downtown.

Should have listened to the reviews!
This place is condos. It is not a full service resort. The room was fine, little run down. Had a nice kitchenette. When we used the toilet, it felt like we would fall through the floor. You have to request fresh towels for your room. Balcony and view were lovely. The condos are built up on the hills. There are 150 stairs (yest, we counted) to get up to our room. Going down the stairs is easy, going back up not so much. They did, however have golf carts to bring you up to your room. The people that drove them were very nice. But it was an inconvenience to have to wait for a cart. The parking lot is very small and very far from the condos where we stayed. Had to walk quite a ways to get to parking lot. Then you have to wait for a cart to take you back up. My husband forgot something in the car and it took him 30 minutes to get back. The restaurant was not what we expected at all. Super casual with ok food. I ordered a turkey club, but was told they ran out of turkey. The people next to us asked for onions on their sandwich, but they ran out of them. My husband ordered a Bud Light. The can exploded when the bartender opened it. She gave it to my husband without wiping it off and no cup. Pool: we only used the one at the top of the hill. Water and pool very nice. You need to give them your tokens to get towels. When we went there, we returned our wet towels, but then were told that they did not have any clean towels. Beach: They lie! There is no usable beach at this hotel. When I asked about it, I was told that it is a dirty beach, and no one uses it. I looked it up online and it said the bacteria levels are too high to be used. It had an odor to it. If you want to relax on the beach, you have to drive or take a cab to one. I do not recommend this property

Very disappointing experience
this was a return trip to Margaritaville and we were highly disappointed this time we booked a superior of supposed presidential suite room, and it had a minimum ocean view and it was the size of a tiny cheap hotel room at every turn. We experience very poor service from the restaurants to the poolside bar, we waited over an hour for our food, and it was marginal at best. The activities here are very minimal. The Resort store has bare shelves with very few items . The beach is not swimmable and overall the resort is not clean. It needs a major overall upgrade. We did rent a car which was the saving grace so that we could explore the island and get to other restaurants.
