I am not someone who complains, but this place is honestly shocking. We came for a short anniversary trip expecting a relaxing all inclusive resort and were immediately disappointed. The liquor selection is awful. Cheap, basic well alcohol you can get anywhere in the States. The food is below mediocre. Bland, poorly prepared, and not enjoyable. The staff made it worse. After finishing dinner and having a few cocktails, while not loud or bothering anyone, we were told to go to bed. Completely inappropriate, judgmental, and unprofessional. I have never felt so uncomfortable or unwelcome at a resort. This was a complete waste of time and money. I regret choosing this resort for our anniversary and would have been happier staying home, cooking my own food, and pouring my own drinks. I have never wanted to leave a vacation early until staying here. Book literally anywhere else. The piece of property is absolutely stunning so you get a star for that.

We had the most fabulous experience at Sonesta Ocean Point. We had crazy travel delays on the way to St. Maarten that messed up a lot of our travel plans and Sonesta Ocean Point went above and beyond in regard to flexibility and adjusting our stay to accommodate us. The staff were wonderful and lovely humans. We are thankful for Angela and Thaimi at the front desk who closely worked with us, were lovely and welcoming, answered all our questions, and were skilled at navigating our reservation issues and advocating on our behalf. We had lovely dining experiences. The food was fantastic and specifically, Dawn, Dominic, and Andrene were fantastic hostesses and servers, attentive with spot-on food recommendations, ensuring that we had such enjoyable meals. All the bartenders were great too and kept our drinks flowing lol. The cleaning staff were professional and thorough. Honestly, everyone was so great. The rooms are lovely with amazing views and the premises were excellent and made for a stellar trip. Lastly, we had beautiful and relaxing massages and Jardin at the spa was so wonderful and fun. 10/10 experience, they made my birthday trip for me and my husband such a wonderfully memorable experience. Thanks Sonesta Ocean Point.

Management and staff are equally amazing as the property.
This is an excellent place and we'll worth the money. Extremely clean. Outstanding staff. The General Mgr, Bernard is a major asset to both the staff and the property. Very approachable and welcoming. The staff and guests love him and his influence. We will be going back every year at least once for a few weeks. The place is amazing with amazing staff. A rare find. Excellent management.

Best trip ever
Everything was wonderful from our room to the restaurants. Wherever we went the staff was so helpful courteous and friendly. Was our 1st time to saint martain and will definitely be back to stay at Sonesta. Thanks for the wonderful memories. Joseph and Misty Wall

A perfect getaway
From check in to checkout this resort is a perfect getaway. Being near the airport made it an excellent location as you were at the resort within minutes from landing and it was exciting getting to watch the planes land throughout the day. Although they have many fabulous restaurants, Azul was by far our favorite. Every meal was delicious and the staff were perfect. Sidia, Mattie, and Fantasia made the experience so much more special with their outgoing personalities. There was never the need to try save seats at the pool which is often the case at many all inclusive resorts. The swim up pool at the front was wonderful and I am only sad that I did not get the bartender’s name as she was the best bartender at the resort. I loved that room service was included and much needed on a day we had too much fun in the sun. I was also please that we had access to the family side, but found the adult only side much more relaxing and enjoyable. Make sure you bring money for tips because the staff definitely deserve it!
