Resort is huge and crowded. Beach is good, but current is little strong. Room is good size but some furniture is missing, like only one night table for two people (it not real night table). Air-condition was not working properly. After calling service it works only few hours. Restaurants are good. If stay in Adult (premium) section have better buffet than normal one. The service was okay. Sometimes feels not enough people to serve. Over all it's ok, but not for me to come back again.

We stayed 11 days, 10 nights. We had a seperate check-in area in the Sun Club section, did not check-in with the masses waiting at the resort's main reception. Therefore we were in our room in minutes. The staff at Sun Club were fantastic! I wish to thank Esmeralda and Ismael for their friendly & professional service. Esmeralda processed our check-in and took care of any issues. Ismael went out of his way to obtain meds that were not available on site. We had excellent service at the Sun Club reception desk no matter who was on duty, thank you! A special thank you to our maid, Kiara. She was our maid for the duration of our stay. Our room was cleaned and all items replenished daily. Our room was in the adult only section called "Sun Club" in a Junior suite - Oceanfront in building #2. Our room led out onto a small private patio from which we walked a dozen paces to the cordonned off section of the adult only beach area. There were dozens of lounge chairs. Problem was reserving required chairs early in the morning, same issue, different resort. We ate mostly at the Sun Club Kaleidoscope buffet (Sun Club members only) and the beach Flip Flopz snack bar. Food and staff were superb! We also ate at 2 a la carte restaurants, again food & staff superb! Room Service (Sun Club members only) was also excellent. We are non drinkers, there were plenty of non-alcoholic drinks available, however, no non-alcoholic beer was available. This type of beverage should be made available. A "suggestion" to fellow Canadian travellers, the exchange rate for Canadian dollars to Dominican pesos was the same in Canada as it was at the resort currency exchange. Gratuities were very much appreciated in pesos. There is a Market (Mercado) less than a 5 minute walk from the resort front gate. It is safe to shop here. As you approach the resort from the airport it looks like a bunch of "shacks" with a police station nextdoor. In fact, when you approach it from the other direction (Resort), you will see a lane with 30 or so stalls (stores). Souvenirs, clothing, etc can be found here and you can negociate the price. We paid for our merchandise in pesos, better deal than US dollars because of the US dollar to pesos exchange rate.

Great!
Bed and pillows very comfy. Cleaness standarts , ok. Food was good. Staff most of time helpfull. Can be more sunbeds or don't late people to occupied sunbeds, but don't use them. Will be great if "Windows" restoran , can leave some where coffe station, to guest can take by self coffee. Stuff to busy running around .

We are currently here and it’s really not great! There are no chairs on the beach. People are laying on their towels in the grass or the beach. Air conditioning doesn’t work. We “upgraded” rooms and everything was worse. We are in building 2 now adults only. Got to our new room there were no towels so we missed dinner because we couldn’t shower cause it takes so long to get anything. Our bed was still dirty and there was still garbage left from previous guests. They said someone would come change the bed so we sat in our room all night and waited and no one came despite calling down 3 times. One coffee no creamer. One roll of toilet paper. Just terrible service all around. I have travelled a lot and this might be the worst one I’ve been to

Great Experience!
Every employee was very helpful in any way they could be. Yergerny was extremely kind and helpful in welcoming us and helping us throughout our trip. Rosa at AmStar made planning excursions very easy and was very knowledgeable. Kevin with the Runners Adventures was spectacular and made the experience go very smoothly. Sonia at the lobby bar was lots of fun and efficient with making drinks. Rooms were cleaned daily and any maintenance issues were fixed in a timely manner. A wide variety of restaurants and pools to dine and relax at, as well as a spa that was amazing. Overall a great experience and would stay here again!
