Sunscape Coco Punta Cana
Just got home from a wonderful vacation with great friends. Thankful for our concierge Jorge he made our trip 🌞sunsational here in Sunscape Coco Punta Cana. Jorge checked in with us multiple times a day, got us into restaurants and gave us some great tips to better our vacation in the Dominican. He even messaged us today asking if we made it home safe🥰. Don’t listen to all the bad reviews. We were surprised with a sun club upgrade free of charge due to a random pick and us celebrating our anniversary they said. The beach was great, pools were clean, the AC was cool and the food was normal all inclusive food. The drinks were cold and the entertainment team was hard at work every day. Our favorite was Mr Styles and Nicki Minaj. Our room and towels were cleaned every day. If you come on vacation open minded and happy you will leave happy. If you go on vacation expecting to be served better then everyone else you will leave disappointed. Those leaving negative reviews I am disappointed in your experience as we were very happy and hope you have the same satisfaction as we did. This is downtime for them so yes they are doing some renovations and some restaurants are not open every night but they changed them out the 5 nights we were there and we were able to try them all. One buffet was open but was never extremely busy and never had to wait more than 15 min to get into any restaurant. Amstar shuttle to and from were great. No problems with our excursion we book with them(UTVs w/ lunch to waterfall, village, and lagoon.

Pleasantly Surprised
Pleasant surprise We booked on offer via Blue Bay Travel and first time to Dominican Republic with no preconceptions. We read many reviews on Trip Advisor and to be honest were very worried, we even upgraded to the recommended Sun Club Adults only. First impressions on arrival were very good, smooth checkIn and porter to room. Great size lovely bed very clean and impressive grounds. We tried the Kaliedscope buffet plenty of choice and again great design and decor. The rest of the week we used the concierge Jorge who was sensational arranging dinner reservations and more. Jorge checked in with us twice daily via WhatsApp to ensure all was going well, he would also pop by the beach area we used incase we needed anything. Plenty of choice of restaurants and bars, something for everyone. As others mentioned it is a Carribean 4 star and great value for the price. Thanks to Jorge and team for a great week.

Sharkys bartender
Great service from Nicolas Gonzalez at Sharkys Pool Bar! Always happy to serve all day, everyday! Food is good, rooms are alright, entertainment group pretty fun. Beach is nice, but lots of public sellers constantly trying to sell you something

A pleasant holiday
This resort doesn’t claim to be 5 star, so don’t expect that. What I can say is that it has some good and some not so good things. From the moment we checked in (which was in a private adults only area), Manuel our concierge was absolutely fantastic. He explained everything and set up his number on WhatsApp so we could contact him about anything. Manuel needs a lot of recognition for what he does. This amazing man should be in management. We had an adult only swim out room. This was lovely. There were a couple of issues but nothing that would ruin our experience. There is a lack of draw storage, so take something with you. We took a five tier hanging storage. The shower leaked a little into the toilet but once you realised we just put a spare bath mat down. The rooms are getting a bigger renovation in time so I’m sure these points will be dealt with. The adults only buffet had a few issues when we first arrived with the staff having no direction as to who was doing what. This was very frustrating and people walked out. This was brought to the attention of the Management (by our friends) who did change the way things worked. I would like to make a huge shout out to Zoila. She was a great host in the kaleidoscope restaurant and gave direction to everyone. This lady should be in a training roll or management. We didn’t use the main pool in the adult only as it was more like an 18-30’s holiday. We all like a party but this was not the pool to have it in. This is something that should be looked at. It always makes us rethink using the pool when half the people never leave it all day, so I can only imagine what they are doing in there. We did walk past on one occasion and I don’t want to guess as to what was in the pool but it was yellow. This pool should be closed off at 6pm so as the people with rooms along side it get some peace as people where in there until 9pm making a lot of noise. A couple were moved to a room next to us as they complained about the noise level. We all go on holiday to have a good time but it’s also about relaxing. The beach was stunning although the speakers around the beach are too noisy. When you are trying to listen to the sea and all you hear is the same music over and over again it start to ruin the experience. The Bali beds are to be paid for as an extra but most of the time these were empty as no one wants to pay $60. A good idea would be to include a Bali bed as a perk of the swim out rooms. Another name to mention is Estaphanie. What a polite young lady and very attentive. We spent a couple of days at the spa which was amazing. Very reasonably priced and great massages. It has its own pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. It’s a great place for some R n R. The resort has a little way to go with some areas but all in all we had a great holiday.
