Wonderful, relaxing vacation from the cold north to the warm caribbean.

The staff from front desk, to food service, housekeeping etc... were all; very nice, helpful and most spoke English. The buffets were good, well displayed food however we did get tired of the buffet. We tried to make reservations at the restaurants but they were book or under construction/remodel or not in season or not what we wanted. We did get into La Gran Tortuga and Tequila restaurants. They were okay, still had to use the buffet for a portion of the meal. We did have a very special dinner we paid extra for called Moon and Sea. It was served on the beach. Menu: salad, lobster, beef tenderloin dessert/cheese cake,, Champagne/drinks. It was FABULOUS and worth the extra fee.

    Recommend hotel

This was definitely one of the best hotels that I’ve been to in Mexico. This hotel has such friendly and fantastic customer service and room service. In this hotel, you’ll definitely never get bored. There is entertainment starting at 7am - 5pm. The beach is wonderful and so beautiful. Definitely coming back next year!

    Amazing stay, once again!

We love it here. We've stayed here 4 times (3 years in a row), and we will likely come back next year as well. We stayed in building 45 at the end of the property near Bar Cangrejo (we could see the pool from our room). It was on the quieter side and farther away from food options. That particular pool did bring in food for lunch, but it was gone very quickly. That pool isn't too busy, so I understand why they wouldn't have an abundant amount of food available poolside. The beach on this side was less rocky than further into the property (we were at the of the property). There is a golf cart (Orange Line) that brings you to the lobby which we lazily did take more often than I'd like to admit. The property was clean and tidy thanks to the hard working and friendly staff. Check in was a breeze (we were upgraded to a Premium Room as it was our 4th visit). We did pre-check in via the Bahia Principe app. Tip: you can book your al a cart restaurants 10 days prior to your arrival date if you pre-check in using the app. I would highly suggest this as we found it fills up quickly. The app also isn't 100% working either. We had friends staying at Coba and the app gives you an option to add other people staying at Bahia, but it wouldn't' work for any of us. We were only able to have dinner together once during our stay together as the times which was kind of a disappointment. Al a cart restaurant that we went to were good - Tequila and Tortuga. Food was good, service was good. The food was expected as we've been here many times (better than I remembered!) They've made some improvements. There is a full gluten free area now (last year it was small and there wasn't that much available). This year, there were more options (could be better), and most of the foods in buffet had signs that listed allergens. My husband and I are allergic to dairy and eggs, and desserts can be hard (I ate a lot of fruit). The gluten free area had dairy free options which was great (chocolate brownies!). My hope for next year is that there will be more (and more consistent allergens listed on all the foods). The Truck snack bar could be better for food variety. You're really limited to hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders, nachos and fries. There are small salads/guacamole/cookies and ice-cream available during the day. We visited our friends at Coba and their snack bar had better hot food options (and a salad bar). Burger Andale was only open on Saturday - they had roast chicken which was a nice break from the snack bar. The main pool had a snack bar as well - different hot food every day. They did run out of fish tacos one day and had to make paella. The gym was used once. It's a decent gym and VERY busy in the morning, but after breakfast, there's maybe 2-3 people at a time. I did go around 4 and had the place to myself. The room was nice (standard). The premium suite lacks privacy as it's open concept. We're a family of 3 with a 12-year-old daughter and privacy wasn't a big issue, but I can see that it would be going forward as she gets older. The pillows and blanket did have a smell to them - the sheets weren't dirty - it was the pillows and the blankets themselves (think sweat mixed with alcohol). Free Wi-Fi was sufficient. We brought our firestick and streamed without an issue along with 4 devices. We paid for the premium Wi-Fi last year, and honestly, I'm not sure there was a difference. Maybe if you had more devices? Since we've been here 3 years in a row, the entertainment hasn't changed. We did go to the Mexican Fiesta night in the market up from the property and it was great! It was the only one that we hadn't been to previously. We thought it would be a show, but they had food, face painting for the kids and games (think carnival). You could collect tokens (when you won) and if you had enough, turn them in for (possibly a bottle of) tequila (we didn't get enough). Bar service was sufficient. We found that the bar outside of the main lobby by the upper pool was quicker service than other ones. Overall, it was a great stay, and we look forward to going back next year. I know we should try somewhere different, but we are familiar with the place, and we know the service and food is consistently good (and food seems to be getting better!)

    Great experience

We have spent 8 days at the Bahía Príncipe Grand Tulum and have enjoyed every minute of it. Our only complaint is that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable other than that it was excellent. The staff are so friendly, would like to give a shout out to Roger bartender at the quiet pool, Edwin in the buffet so nice , friendly and went above and beyond . Also a shout out Gamaliel in the Don Pablo restaurant who made our last evening very fun and the food was amazing. Very clean resort, great food and drinks. Sun-beds always available at anytime of day at any pool. All in all a fantastic experience, would highly recommend this hotel.

    Best vacation ever!!!

I have been to many resorts. This is by far my favorite. The rooms are clean and well stocked with what you need. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash. This was a bonus for me because I only do carryon. In room safe at no extra charge. Beds a comfy. Buffet has something for everyone and is always stocked. We did the Mexican a la carte. We didn’t care for it. But others loved it. Lots of choices. We are just a bit picky. lol. Don Pablo gourmet a la carte was amazing. Can’t say enough about this one. The presentation was fantastic. Service impeccable. Michelin rating for sure. The Brazilian restaurant is also a favorite. Word of warning. Book early. It’s hard to get in. We had a 9pm Reservation and that is just too late for us. Guest services rearranged and made our reservation for 6. Pools are clean and fun. Main pool Is busy. But we stayed to the quiet pool and still had a blast with everyone around. Swimming in sea was spectacular. We were in every day. When I booked this I saw some no so good reviews and I feel those people were having a bad day. Yes tile Floors are slippery when wet but seriously that’s a given. There are lots of lizards and I have many pics Of them. Honestly you won’t be disappointed. Great spot and very family friendly.
