Definitely not a five star resort but you absolutely get what you pay for. My friends and I wanted to go on a trip together and also didn’t want to pay a ton of money. We found secrets and despite the poor reviews decided to risk it. Negatives: Sewer smell in many areas of the resorts Food was hit or miss (but to be honest I have never been highly impressed with any all inclusive resort foods so not horrible) Sometimes no hot water for shower Pools were pretty cold (could just be the time of year we went) Positives: Cheap Nice room Highly recommend being preferred as you get as access to all three resorts (dreams, Sunscape and secrets). That allows you to have many options for food. Being preferred you also get access to the preferred lounge which had great little snacks and we would go there at night and play cards/drink. Though it is rocky, great snorkeling right in front of the resort! Drinks were delicious! We had great bartenders , so friendly and welcoming! (Specifically, Jonathan, angel, Christian) ALL of the staff in all locations were so nice and wonderful! Can’t express that enough! We were always able to get a chair on the beach and it was so nice! ARBEY is the shining star of the resort! He made our week so much fun! We all loved playing beach and pool volleyball. He definitely deserves a raise! Though we only got to catch one show, it was a Mayan show and it was amazing!! Eric from amstar was also great! Overall for our group it was a good fit. None of us had high expectations but really enjoyed ourselves. Also recommend the taco place across the street! Very good!! We also had a blast on the Cozumel bar hop! It was very cool to see the other side of the resort! We also did a snorkeling excursion with Adrian Cozumel and that was awesome as well! Definitely recommend!

Fun time!
We thought the resort was great! If you do book a trip here make sure to find Arbey Lopez the entertainment director very friendly energetic and will make sure you have a great time be sure and don’t be scared to make his beach volleyball tournament at 11:00 am every day super fun!

Jan 12, 2025I was looking for adults only. This was the only one on Cozumel. I will never stay here again!
Very old hotel, not much to do and not a lot of places to eat. The service was terrible even though every time we went down to the lobby the concierge told us to let him know if we need anything. Our request did not get fulfilled. We splurged and did the preferred club and we felt like we were invisible.

We stayed at Secrets to celebrate my 42nd Birthday. Check in process for “preferred” guests was super smooth. No waits. Room was very spacious and cozy. Plenty of towels and coffee. The bed was SUPER comfortable. The beaches and pools were super nice. Take your own snorkel gear. Food was really good. Gym was decent. Couples massage at the spa was really nice. The staff are super friendly. No complaints.

The food and drink were very good. The entertainment and pool areas were great. We were very disappointed with our room. Many things did not work in our room. When people above us took a shower we had a leak behind our mirror and in the corner of our wall and water drained on our vanity and onto the floor. we did not get robes and wine like the three other couples did that we went with.
