I have been to this hotel multiple times because of the convenient location for beach access and actions in Waikiki. But I wish the overall experience could be better. I found they always assigned you to a "worst of that category" room unless you asked to switch. I booked the Pacific Tower ocean view and they gave me a room with the least ocean view (see photos - honestly I think that room should be partial ocean view), room number 44 - worst of all ocean view. There are also some "machine" noises from the hotel across which is annoying and disrupts my sleep. Luckily, they are willing to switch me to another room after the first night. My overall experience would be excellent if they gave me a better room to begin with. This is the third time I experienced this kind of treatment at the hotel. Perhaps I should call and specifically ask for a better room next time I go.

Everything was great except for the cockroaches in the bathroom. Great location and service. Bonie took great care of us:-)We really enjoyed having the beach near by. Monkey Pod was delicious and convenient. The live music nightly was very charming and enchanting.

Great service!
Divina was a really nice and helpful room cleaning lady. She always made sure our room was spotless and greeted us with a smile and small talk. Great experience at the hotel made even greater by the hotel staff. We will make sure to come back again!

Cleaning our room was the only thing that stopped me from giving top mark, Hotel and area is absolutely brilliant , get out and about and see the area and explore for other reasonable food places , Staff are so helpful, they could not be more helpful

Just book it- you won’t regret it!
Just returned from our stay at Outrigger Reef where we enjoyed 3 nights in a club room and 4 nights with breakfast only at Monkeypod. Next time would probably not book a club room just because the evening time was quite restrictive starting at 4.30pm although the food and drinks were both plentiful and high quality. We stayed in a partial ocean view room with a balcony where we enjoyed the evening sunsets listening to music. Room was modern, spacious and soundproof once the balcony doors were closed. Staff were excellent throughout the resort who went out of their way to help rather than find issues. Location was excellent being close to both the beach and shops and also close to Pickleball courts. We ate at both Monkeypod and Kani Grille and really enjoyed the food, singing and dancing at the Kani Grille. Highly recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!
