  Great experience and stunning beaches

  Planet Hollywood Cancun was a great experience for our large group of 31 arriving from Canada. Check-in was quick without any long sales pitches, and we were warmly welcomed with a drink and applause from the staff. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had all the necessary amenities. We were fortunate to have an ocean view from the 5th floor of building 31, which I highly recommend. The pools were large and well-maintained, with staff cleaning them each morning. The restaurants offered a wide variety of food and drinks, and the service was exceptional. If you dine at the Italian restaurant, be sure to ask for Willy, who provided the best service I’ve experienced globally, even remembering all of our names. My favorite restaurant was Braza for amazing meat and salad bar selections. The beach was beautiful, with soft, powdery sand and stunning water that made you want to stay forever. We visited in mid-March, and the water temperature was lovely. The hotel managers cared about their staff, the location, and cleanliness. While you need to wake up early to reserve beach and pool chairs, this is common in resorts. The management is well aware of the chair situation and chairs have been ordered. This resort is a must-see, and we look forward to returning.

  March Break 2025: Traveling with peanut allergy

  We traveled during the Canadian March Break period as a large family group of 14 with teens ranging in age from 14-17. Two people in our group have allergies (peanut and shellfish) and, for us, allergy management is a massive part of how we make our decisions when we are choosing resorts. Overall, we all had a great time and we would recommend PH. Here are a few of the things that stood out to us: Star Class: We opted for “Star Class” for a number of reasons and felt that, overall, this was the right choice for our family. Our assistants, Damian and Miguel, were very helpful in helping us to navigate dining at the restaurants and Shores buffet with a peanut allergic teen. They also assisted with making dinner reservations in general. The Star Class lounge in Building 21 was the perfect way to start our morning and enjoy a coffee. Leo, who is the attendant in the Star Class lounge, provided exceptional service. He would greet us with a smile each morning, make our coffee and generally start our day off right with his attentive service. In addition to coffee, there are snacks served here throughout the day. We upgraded our room and ended up staying in 24-115 which was a corner one bedroom suite with a massive swim out pool area (it had two exterior day beds for 4 and about 10 loungers!) This worked out well for us on a couple of occasions when we hung out at the room pool as a large group. The room was huge and didn’t smell musty at all. Housekeeping was great. We had lots of fun at the resort (lots to do for teens), but an area for improvement is the entertainment. We have been to many all-inclusive hotels and the entertainment was pretty lacklustre. This resort would benefit from some good live music that people can chill out or dance to. As I mentioned previously, allergy management is the most important piece to us as none of us can relax if we feel that this isn’t managed properly - overall, the allergy management is very good. Most notably for us was our experience at Shores buffet in the morning - after our assistant, Damian, had touched base with staff, we arrived for breakfast every day to Mario and Javier (and the behind the scenes kitchen staff) who were also exceptional. They greeted us warmly every morning, knew about our situation and made my daughter feel so well-cared for by having her breakfast prepared separately and brought to her each morning as the rest of us had the buffet (which was lovely, clean, and had lots of fresh food choices) They really made such a positive difference to how we enjoyed our vacation. The staff and service overall, is excellent. The property is generally very clean and tidy. The beach is soft white sand, clean, and very limited seaweed. We had a great break and would recommend this property to others.

  Beautiful and spacious resort

  Visited Planet Hollywood in Cancun in March 11th-15th with my family, from the time you walk through the sliding glass doors, your welcomed in with applause!! My kids loved that and I was instantly impressed with the thoughtfulness and attention to our family. We arrived in the afternoon and the checkin was so fast. We were instantly upgraded to a better room, and our gracious and courteous helper Abraham was so attentive to our needs and questions. We had read numerous reviews of musty smelling rooms, so we brought a Damp Rid to remove all the humidity and smells from the room. The best thing that we brought!! The food was good, only gripe we had was trying to get reservations to the restaurants. They were IMPOSSIBLE!!!! I hope that the resort can have a better way of getting that situation sorted out. We were only able to enjoy the steakhouse. If you didn’t mind eating at 9:30 or later, then you could eat at any of the restaurants. The beach is beautiful, yes there is a problem with people taking up beach chairs with their belongings and not using them. My suggestion is beat them to the chairs. Just kidding chairs are readily available and accessible. Every day and night there were things to do, the kids splash park is never packed and the servers walk around constantly taking drink orders. The Italian restaurant has very good pizza if you place and order it is quickly prepared and you can pick it up. The food at the Guy Fieri burger restaurant are pretty good. I would like to give a shout out to Marlon, he was our waiter at the Buffett. He is awesome!!! We will definitely be staying at this resort again, as a family and with just the wife and I.

  Spring Break 2025 - People of all ages!

  Spent 7 great days with a large group and had an awesome time!! Our group wants to give a shout out to Roger from the beach bar! He made our last day fantastic! Made it his mission to learn all of names and was a fabulous waiter. He had the best whistle too! Thanks Roger!

  Flowrider fun!

  Edson, Xavier, and Joaquín were awesome facilitating the Flowrider with me and my 8yr old. They were so patient and helpful helping him learn to surf! We had a great time with them. The photo attached is of the first lesson that Joaquin gave him to get him familiar with the board.
