STUDENT/YOUTH GROUPS POLICY - In order to maintain a family-oriented environment, Iberostar Hotels and Resorts will be implementing a policy directed at student/youth groups. Students/youth are considered by the hotel as any person between 16 and 23 years of age. In addition to the Spring Break Policy instituted for all bookings traveling in the months of March and April, Groups shall adhere to the following conditions:
- All student/youth groups must be pre-approved and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Upon check-in, each group will be required to make a refundable cash deposit of USD $200.00 per room for any charges or damages that might be incurred during the stay.

Sep 29, 2024First time in Jamaica Iberostar Grand
Iberostar is great for a relaxing getaway. It was myself, first time on the island let alone here at the Iberostar Grand Adults only. Pros; Foods good, service hit or miss, amenities lacked as most are for members only; which we joined later. Rooms were awesome, we had the ocean view; just wished the toilet area was separate and not see through glass doors. I liquor selection is great compared to others I've been to. Cons, there's one bar that stays open late night. That bar was in the lobby and it's always packed and way too loud. The pool closes super early. There's not much to do but to eat, drink, and sleep. If you stay in the adults only side you're allowed on the other two properties. We enjoyed the bar next door on the suits side. Good music and not so packed. We also enjoyed the club members bar. It was just awkward with the workers just hanging out among themselves in there all of the time. The bartender there was less friendly and less interested in serving us or even cleaning the tables. Tables were all filthy when we walked in one night and the place was empty. Bartender was hiding in the back the majority of the time. The club member beach amenities were 50/50 for me. It's extremely far from the restrooms if you need to go and the service was okay. Beach area was very nice. The butlers were great, bartenders didn't seem to want to be there that day. He just wasn't friendly. The cabanas were a great touch and a chef came out with some food. Great area away from the crowd to just relax. There are three pools for the Grand side. The cabanas are opened to everyone. Never had issues finding a seat and they all had an umbrella. Pool was clean and felt so good after being at the beach. Pool service was a 10/10. Restaurants; Food there was a hit or miss. Buffett for both breakfast and lunch had huge offerings. Only thing I must say is to not expect any other cultures food outside of Jamaican good as they only do Jamaican food well. The steak house was a must. The Japanese hibachi was reservations only and was good, they give you huge amounts and you can't take any back to your room. We did one day around Negril checking out a few spots outside of the hotel. There's great food on the streets and I highly recommend doing river rafting! Over all the Grand Iberostar is a great place to check out and try. Would I come back to Jamaica Iberostar Grand? I would give it a second go. Our butlers Andre and Alain were great and because of them I would come back!

The guest service was great and the food was good. The nightclub was fun and gift shop options were helpful! I heard this property was one of the area's better resorts, but I was a bit disappointed in the room preparation. After learning about amenities other people had we didn't get two pairs of slippers, a beach bag, or the accurate amount of alcohol (rum, champagne, and wine). I did not have these things... which was a bummer. Additionally, we had issues with the hot water. I took cold showers. But they sent people to help. The butler experience was nice to have but I could have done without it. Alain and Andre were nice thoughts, I appreciated the daily itineraries. My favorite experience was with housekeeping attendant, Nikki.

We just got back from a beautiful vacation at JOIA Rose Hall. The vacation started with a meeting with the wonderful concierges at the Star Lounge. They had contacted us a week before, and Deiddrain and Tanya had sent us information about the hotel and scheduled our activities for the week. We were then introduced to Cedric, our ambassador, who saw to our needs in the afternoons and evenings. He was wonderful at making sure our vacation was worry-free and wonderful. Our butlers, Rushane, Jaime, Christopher, and Berris, were terrific at attending to our every need regarding our accommodations. We can't wait to go back.

Paradise Awaits You!
In the distance we say goodbye to Helene. While it’s been overcast, this has not impacted this amazing stay. We look forward to the sun as it teases us daily. The sun while ideal in the Caribbean does not make a vacation. It’s the people at this beautiful “Grand” resort. We started coming to Jamaica 38 years ago when we celebrated our wedding. It’s the people that keep us coming back. From the housekeepers to the bartenders to the chefs to the waitresses to management. I would name everyone one of them. I can mention Shelley. Shelley was our waitress a few nights ago at the Toscana- Italian. a la carte. This young lady served with professionalism and style like no other. She was attentive and pleasant and served an incredible meal. We have travelled a lot with our friends and the food here is bar none the best we have had. The steak was the best we have had including in North America. We take our hats off to Chef Andrew who grills a mouth watering experience. The waitresses at the pool and beach are constantly around and serve with smiles. We have had not one bad experience with the food. We just had smash burgers for lunch yesterday. This burger puts Five guys to shame. Fresh salads, freshly cooked steak as you wait at the snack bar at the beach. The drinks are plentiful all made with quality alcohol. I always read reviews before booking and as I sit around this incredible pool area wonder how any person can find fault. This hotel stands with stature and elegance enriched by its mere years of being here. Why do travellers seek modernization, why not revel in elegance of the past. Our room is spacious with a marble bathroom and more than what we need. The bed is so comfortable and the room is kept spotless. Rooms are conveniently located to the pools and beach. As we sat around the pool yesterday we were greeted by David with a smile and warm greetings. He introduced himself and spoke of his professional endeavours to obtain his position of Entertainment manager. David appeared exceptionally grateful to be in his position and it showed. He invited us to be his guests last night at the theatre to experience the Motown show. The show was professional and the entertainers were very good. But the star of the show was David as he worked the room welcoming everyone and helping to make everyone’s night memorable. For our fellow beach lovers. Come shuffle your feet in this soft sand and clear calm waters or chose to take a short walk to the pier. The owners of this hotel are doing great things here. The maintain this resort investing time and money to keep it as beautiful as the day it was built. Their best quality that they possess is their ability to hire the best staff and keep their staff happy. We have found Paradise and will be returning as soon as we can. If you are hesitating don’t. Perfect vacation
Everything exceeded expectations. The hotel, food, staff, and everything else was top notch. Our butler Rennardo was great and always available, and the bartending staff, especially at the pool bar (shoutout to Andre and Travis and the rest of them team over there), was some of the best service I've ever had. If you want a vacation with great food, great drinks, at a beautiful property with the kindest staff, here it is.
