    Amazing stay

We had an amazing time at Meliá. Surprised by how good the food was, especially at the Fish House. I got stung by a stingray right off the beach, but the staff were incredible helpful taking care of me and checking in later that day. Would absolutely return to this hotel for my next time in Cozumel, wish we had more time to experience the activities and shows the hotel had to offer.

    Nice quaint resort but…..

Let me just start with this is a very clean resort with excellent service and only a couple minutes from downtown nightlife and taking a ferry. We just got back from 6 nights here. First off very good service and everyone makes you feel good about choosing this resort. Nice and quaint without the huge crowds of a large resort. Room with a jacuzzi tub is where we stayed in and it’s very clean but older and with the mold smell. Walking straight out onto the beach is pretty nice and we used the tub a couple nights it was pretty cool. Highly recommend because we had some cooler days and the main pool is freezing! If you use the main pool like we did daily they have the best bartender ederiberto I think?? I’ll miss talking to him and he can make some really good drinks. Nice beach but I will say it’s not the blue pristine you’ll imagine. If you do a Google earth view you can see it’s always dark because sargassum is everywhere. You’ll be swimming in brown water. Go down the street to Buccanos and hang out. Wish we realized that sooner. Now the bad. The food is easily the worst food I’ve ever experienced at a resort. Send your executive chef (lol) to training. We literally tried every option as we paid extra for the level service. GET LEVEL! There was nothing I’d ever eat again in my lifetime here. I feel so sorry for those that didn’t pay extra and they were stuck with the buffet. It’s atrocious. Best option is the fish house but even then it was hit and inedible. The breakfast at fish house was my go to but all I got was an omelette. Lunch at this resort is not an option. Even the hamburgers are the weirdest texture beef so your not sure what your eating. We left for lunches and a few dinners. We stayed here because it was cheap. Our mistake I guess because of the quality of food. Great place for people on a budget that want a resort experience because it really is nice. But with a beach that has brown water and hideous food we’ll never be back. Cozumel is basically just a port for cruise ships and mediocre food everywhere. We didn’t realize that. We rented a car so it was cool to check out ruins and drive around island but there’s not much to do. Take a ferry to Playa del Carmen that place was cool. And better food. We learned a valuable lesson about staying in one location and we’ll definitely do more homework next time on a two week notice quick trip.

    Great for couples!

Awesome stay! Highly recommend the level royal suite, they are at beach level and they have their own jacuzzi outside and they are front beach. Staff were amazing through all our stay. Waiters, level club staff all were so helpful and kind. Food was fantastic too! It is a small hotel with great amenities, as we were there during low season, our stay was so peaceful, ideal to spend time as a couple. Beautiful beach, we saw too many cruises when they leave the island. Great stay! I will definitely go back! Special Thanks to Eric at the Level lounge and Diego at level beach club!

    Relaxing Great Hotel

This is a Hidden Gem, in Cozumel. Friendly staff and helpful. This is not typical Mega Resort but certainly does not come short in any way with major hotels. Food was great, alcoholics drinks need a bid of work. LEVEL package is more luxurious stay. We will absolutely return to this hotel. Great beach and location. Carlos in front desk , goes about his way to make sure everything goes well and will take care of any issues. William in the adult only pools makes this delicious Jalapeño Margaritas.

Great family vacation! Sept 28- Oct 5, 2024

Amazing service, very attentive and continuously maintaining the hotel clean. Jafet was one of our servers in our week long stay and he was wonderful, he really made sure we could enjoy our meal by being so attentive and polite. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a family vacation.
