Sep 30, 2024ABSOLUTE PERFECTION
I came to this hotel with my partner. We were looking for something a bit special and the Riu Yucatan did not disappoint. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we could tell that this place prides itself on it's customer service. Check in was fast and easy. Beto was so polite and helpful. When we arrived at our room we found everything to be perfect. The air-con was on, the mini-bar was fully stocked and the beds were to die for. Super comfy and a very generous size. The food here is excellent - there really is something for everyone. Felipe on the eggs station was superb and very happy to cook my eggs exactly as I like them. Moving on, the waiting staff work so hard. You finish your meal and they are there to clear it away almost immediately, offering top up's of your drinks. Nothing is too much trouble. BIG shoutout to JUAN on the bar and ROCKY who delivers the drinks for the mini-bar. These guys met us once, and remembered what we drank, and the fact that - as a diabetic - I needed mixers without sugar. In addition, the housekeepers do a fantastic job. The room was spotless. They work tirelessly, often in very humid conditions. Please - leave a tip on your pillow. They work so hard. The pools are very different. The main one tends to have 'poppy' music playing; whereas the adults only pool has it's own bar that plays real chillout stuff. We preferred the adults only pool and, again, plenty of sunbeds. Finally, the beach. What can I say? It is the stuff of dreams. I have never seen anything so postcard perfect in my life. There are sunbeds all over the beach - plenty for everyone. It was idyllic. Please - don't pay any attention to the negative reviews. Someone mentioned that there was a bit of paint needed touching up - for goodness' sake, you don't come on holiday to sit looking at the paintwork!! If you are looking for the perfect holiday - perhaps a special birthday, or an anniversary - maybe you're looking to bring your family here for a much needed break - whatever the reason, don't hesitate: Book the Riu Yucatan - YOU WON'T REGRET IT; YOU'LL NEVER FORGET IT! ❤️

Wonderful wonderful wonderful
We are returnies to Yucatan as we were there last year 2023 late August early September we returned 11 September and so glad that we arrived around this time because we were able to experience the independence of Mexico and what an event that was. The hotel go over and beyond to make sure that all the events are amazing whether during the day day or night. My comments last year is the same as this but with more of a family returning. The hotel is clean throughout on entrance and through the whole building. The staff work very hard indeed. The entertainment team are first class and earn the name Entertainment, especially Gustavo, Chris and Joanne. Basically all very very friendly and they make you holiday within the resort fun. Meals are varied and edible kitchen staff work very hard to prepare the endless variations of meals. Public toilets are kept clean however I have to say that some of the guests were very disrespectful and don’t even flush the toilets after use. My only complain would be our room 5310 which had a damage split wood door plus I think it would time for a revamp. The room were looking a tad worn and need brighten up. Apart that every request asked was fulfilled We did not do any trips as we did so previously however we did go out for a long walk in the area where there were local shops. A taxi ride of 150 pesos would take you into 5th Avenue tourists area for further shopping,restaurants,bars,nigh life etc. and all very safe. Outside of the hotel is very safe as the Yucatan is situated in the beautiful gated community and you are able to visit the other Rui chain of hotels. All in all another perfect vacation and yes very very hot.

Highly recommend
beautiful beach, wide, lots of sunbeds and clean. animations also very nice, lots of bars and restaurants, although the food sometimes did not taste good (steak house) clean rooms although the furniture is not the newest, good air conditioning, internet has coverage practically everywhere. the only thing I did not like about this hotel was that my room was in the building furthest from the beach (5 minutes walk) and the noise of some machine behind the fence. overall I highly recommend riu yucatatan

Another great stay
This is our second time at Rui Yucatan and again we had a great relaxing two weeks,food was good with a choice for all (you’d never go hungry)rooms are cleaned daily (mini fridge is filled daily) I did have to ask for it to be restocked once Everyone works very hard from the cleaners round the pool to the bar staff whom very quickly know what your wanted drink is Dive guys are great as to are the beach guys Will definitely come back again

Amazing stay!!!
The staff are very hard working and can’t do enough for you. The room was spotless with everything you required . Ice cold aircon. The food was very good with lots of choice , there was always fresh roast of one kind or another , lots of salad , pizza ,tacos,fish. Even some gluten free options which were labelled. The drinks were premium brands and of good measure. The animation team were on the go all day and evening. Sea was lovely. Pools were nice. They could do with a refresh but we did see them being cleaned regularly. Don’t forget sun cream as it is mega expensive . You can use the sister hotels for drinks and lunch. All in all a fantastic stay!!! Well done Riu!!!
