Jul 11, 2025Great times at Marival Dostinct
First time visiting Marival Distinct and was extremely impressed with the whole resort, from the attentiveness of all the staff to the cleanliness of the resort and the amazing food options. I visited with my family and friends family (4adults,5kids) and upgraded to a private villa with a private pool (best decision). Everyday was a different fun experience from pool to beach to dinner and drinks. I want to give a shot out to Rafael Montufar and Juliana Pineda (front desk staff) for making the checkin/checkout process easy and quick for us to enjoy our vacation. Along with the food servers at lemongrass Lamberto and Carlos for keeping the food and drinks coming quickly. Server Ruben at the beach was very friendly and always checked in to see what we needed down at the beach. Highly recommend INSU (rooftop bar) as all the food in the menu was a 10/10. I look fwd to some great memories again in the near future at Marival Distinct. Salud!

Jul 11, 2025Spa - Not As Good As We Remember
I absolutely LOVE the World Spa but it felt like the quality of the experiences from each country ( Turkey & Thailand ) were not as good as before. I want to start by saying that I have been to this spa multiple times. I specifically planned my vacation to come back to this spa since I fell in love with all the experiences from Turkey, Russia, Italy, Japan, etc. What makes the experience special is having the ENTIRE experience in ONE room. You taste, smell, see, and feel the country all in one location! For my Turkey experience, I was asked to do the steam room part of the experience in the MEN'S LOCKER ROOM where you cover your private parts with a paper bikini and rub this body scrub on yourself while in the steam room. I was asked to walk outside of my experience room and walk down the short hall to the steam room in the MEN'S locker room. Going to the Men's Locker Room was very tacky and left me feeling uncomfortable since I am a woman. I do have to note there were no other men in the locker room when I was in there. My turkish bath was also lukewarm and no one came to check on me so I sat in lukewarm water the whole time. Not a great time. The Thailand experience was not the same stretching experience in the provided clothing that it was a few years before. It is now more of a massage and stretch. It doesn't seem as good as before. When we asked about the changes, we were told that there are two different ways they do the Thailand experience but no one told us that when we booked. And in all of our experiences, it was consistent that they didn't really provide the food sampling until the end of the massage when you are out in the waiting area of the spa. In the past, having ALL of the services performed inside of one room is what made this luxury experience worth the price tag. I left feeling let down. It's still a great spa but questioning whether the experiences are worth it anymore.

Best Trip Ever!
Our vacation exceeded our expectations at the Miraval Distinct Hotel. The staff was friendly, the food was excellent, and the amenities were well maintained. Service by the pool and on the beach was great too! Our teenagers were able to disconnect and enjoy family time together! The entire staff was amazing - special shoutout to Juliana P., Leonel R., Ivon A., and Emmanuel.

Leonel Ramos and Ivon Aguirre were excellent hosts. Greeted us every single day with a smile, and always asked if we needed anything. It was always a joy to see them every day. We will be back!!

A well needed vacation!
Staff was very welcoming, polite, and helpful. We up graded our room for an affordable rate and the room was beautiful and made our weekend so comfortable and enjoyable.
