Best vaca 2024
Lovely location away from the English winter weather. Accommodation was clean and spacious. Food was flavourful. Staff were friendly and approachable. Shout out to staff like Angel, always making sure we had everything we needed, making sure any trip off the hotel was pleasant. If you need anything I.e taxi etc Angel is your guy. Shout out to Jorge at the concierge desk dealing with our every question. Shout out to Josè for making sure our private dinner was memorable and entertaining throughout our dinner. Clemente, every restaurant we had dinner on the resort he was there with a bottle of red wine ready for us. The bar staff at the main lobby who “kept us hydrated”. We spent 11 days at Punta Cana and that was 11 days of beautiful sunshine and fun. We will definitely be coming back in the near future. Highly recommend

Adult Side Stay
Wonderful Stay on the Adult Side. Family side- not my cup O tea. Great Affordable Resort, staff is awesome at the front desk , sun club , the spa and Amstar. Recommend staying on adult side only. Locals stay in the Family area which is awesome for them to allow at all inclusive

Choose a different resort!
We travelled to Sunscape Coco on November 26 and stayed until December 3. My husband, myself and 4 of our adult children accompanied us on our "Family Vacation". This resort was 'renovated'? last year and is part of the Hyatt chain. The resort itself is quite lovely, various pool areas to choose from. Staff were for the most part friendly. The friendly, helpful staff in our experience far outweigh the negative staff members. In large part, I attribute the 'unfriendliness' of staff to the rather significant language barriers present. 4/6 of us became ill during our stay here. What seems to be most disturbing is that many, many others throughout the resort also became ill with GI symptoms. The condition of the rooms, lack of cleanliness in the rooms, ?contaminated food and water. ?Improper food prep and handling and cooking. In all the years I have been travelling to Mexico, Cuba and Dominican I have never experienced anything like this. My daughter, husband and stepdaughter did not leave their rooms for two solid days. When you pay $1500pp for 7 days of sun, warmth, family time, enjoyment it becomes super frustrating and disheartening when issues arise from poor adherence to policies and procedures ensuring cleanliness and sanitation. We noted the 'Health Inspectors' were present on the property the day before we left. Health and safety of all resort patrons at all times should be top priority. There were many other things that I found 'wrong' or that I would flag as negatives with the resort, but of most importance to highlight is the illnesses that MANY, MANY people also staying this same week experienced.

Paradise for whom?
A special thank you to Martina and Zoila at the Kaleidoscope for their fabulous service, smiles and attention to details all through the week. The beach is nice and there are several pools around the property. As for the food, the Blue Water grill was our favourite. Most of the other restaurants were ok but the food was always Luke warm. As for our room, we had upgraded to the SunClub with the junior suite with garden view. If you are to choose this room, be aware that you may get the « tropical » view which means no view at all. I recommend you ask to be in building 2 of the Sun Club as it is the one that has been renovated. The building 1 needs repair. Our room had water damage and the bottom Of the furniture was peeling off. The hand held shower head arm was broken and could not be adjusted to a specific height. When we called for service they came in and shoved a screw in between to secure the arm to the mast but we could not move it up or down. It is not a repair but a quick fix. We also had a leak of water every time we took a shower but the water was always along the bathtub, so we could not tell where it was coming from. On top of it all, there was a gastro-intestinal outbreak at the resort. Both my partner and I were sick. The incident was reported on TVA nouvelles and in the Quebec newspaper. Our room was on the 4th floor and the elevator was broken 6 of the 7 days we were there. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and would only rate it a 3 out of 5.

The best resort I’ve ever stayed at
The sharky bar is the place to be 👍 the bar tender deserves 20 outta 10 ❤️ I’m not Spanish so I can’t remember or spell the bar tenders name but he is my hombre for life. We had 16 in our group and we waited for nothing. The shows at night are 5 star all the way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
