Feb 11, 2025Our expectations of Royalton Antigua not as good as other Royalton Hotel’s
Had a fantastic holiday with my friend even though the hotel wasn’t classed in our opinion as a 5 star. Beach fantastic. So fantastic, their is a downside. Daily catamaran’s come into the bay and onto the hotel’s beach area. Always plenty of sun loungers and towels. Pools cold at this time of year but refreshing. Room nice, clean and spacious 2 king size comfortable beds. Double size shower with two separate showers inside. Balcony, but sadly no view, just the overgrown hill. Room service only forgotten once in the week. Nightly entertainment - but would ask for less Karaoke on the billboard. Hidden gem is the coffee shop. Always Friendly staff. Lovely made coffee and fresh made sandwiches. cakes and cookies. Lots of various flavours of ice cream too. Use the Royalton App. You can find out daily activities and book restaurants and experiences through it. Noise in room through from a connecting door (worse than most we have experienced) and corridor echoed badly, so doesn’t seem adequate sound proofing. You can only book speciality restaurants once (on the app) and when you do book for a certain time, the tables are not always ready. Food is only luke warm, when it does eventually arrive. Lots of dishes not available. Waiting for food once order placed, always too long between courses. Organisation of seating at tables in the main buffet needs to be better. As we got moved on a number of occasions, after we have been seated or during the meal as it’s been other peoples table. Run out of quite a lot of different ingredients for drinks , yet other people have been drinking them before and after we have been informed. When queried they are then back on the menu. Additional Suggestions: put some seats and tables around the pool bar area. Open one of the specialty restaurants at lunch time. Additional seating in the lobby entertainment area would certainly help as many a time, had to stand at the evening. Booked the excursion through the hotel. The Excellence Power Catamaran. Be prepared for rocky seas, as go right out into the ocean (people were being sick!) We weren’t taken to Devils Bridge (as it said we would) Only one stop for snorkelling and lunch (2 hours total). However, Snorkelling was only allowed if escorted in a large group. Tennis courts not useable We think with a bit of TLC and good management this hotel Royalton Antigua could get to a 5 star ⭐

My husband and my 2 girls had a wonderful stay! The beach is breathtaking. Truly paradise.The staff were friendly and accommodating we truly enjoyed the food and drinks! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Antigua! A special shout out to Marcus and Coniah our butlers for the week. They both went above and beyond to ensure a fantastic experience for my family and I. They both truly made our vacation memorable. The Diamond club experience was excellent and truly set this hotel apart from others. If you are looking for a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience this is the place to be.

Our butlers, Marcus and Coniah,, were excellent. They provided service above and beyond expectations. They were diligent in arranging meals for my wife’s dietary restrictions. Their communication skills were also excellent. We highly recommend this hotel, particularly the upgraded Diamond club, with its special lounge, preferred beach seating, dining reservations, and room locations with spectacular views and amenities.

Royalton review
A really nice hotel. Really enjoyed our stay, Jameel really listened to us and our concerns he really made us feel at home. The bar been very good love the rum punch , gin and tonic. And the view is amazing the beach and the pool is great and really clean ! Tha k you so much

Lovely holiday in a fab hotel
A lovely hotel, nestled into a beautiful beach with greenery all around. All the staff were lovely and friendly. We had no problems either food availability or availability of drinks. Sometimes things ran out, but that’s what you get with an island holiday; stick was quickly replenished and it functions spoil it for us. Happily recommend it to others. We hired a car and drove around the island which was gorgeous. One of the staff recommended getting out and about to us - great recommendation. Lovely 10 days. Going back to the UK relaxed and happy
