We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. It was our first time in Cancun, first time at an all inclusive, celebrating my birthday, and it did not disappoint. The resort did a great job celebrating me and providing a super yummy birthday treat in my room. We met family at the resort and the staff did a great job accommodating us, so that we were next to our family room wise. Before our trip, we elected to upgrade to the preferred club status and I’m glad we did that. We had excellent coffee, cocktails, and delicious treats on the club floor and we really enjoyed the 12th floor pool area reserved for Club Status. We also really enjoyed the daily activities at the resort as well as the excursions that were available for purchase at the concierge’s area through Amstar. We were there 7 nights and would have stayed longer. We felt completely safe and the sweet girl at the Amstar desk walked us through how to catch the city bus into downtown Cancun. I really liked that this resort was adults only and did not tolerate the party scene. Honestly, it was the most relaxing vacation we’ve had in a while. Our room was kept spotless by Milka. Anything we needed for our room, she was quick to provide. Our concierge Victor made sure we were able to get reservations made and took care of the little details regarding our trip. Benji (Benjamin), our pool concierge on the 12th floor, as well as servers Alberto and Veronica (and another gal whose name I did not catch that was working with Veronica) took such good care of us. Benji went above and beyond to make sure we had pool chairs for the day and gave great advice on things to do at the resort. Javier at the Steakhouse and his serving partner Jorge took excellent care of us for our evening meals. Cesar took excellent care of us each morning for breakfast and greeted me each day with my favorite green juice, which was a delicious blend of spinach, parsley, and some other healthy things as well as pineapple juice - aka great detox!! :) I loved taking the aqua aerobics and aqua zumba classes that Pedro and Alan taught, as well as their other fun classes and activities by the pool. We read a lot of reviews about this place before we booked and I’m going to be honest one of the main negative reviews was that the main level with the breakfast and lunch buffet did not have AC. That area is indeed warmer than the others; however, after we figured that out, we dressed accordingly and it wasn’t a problem for us while we were there. If you’ve read this far, here is some unasked for advice. When you arrive, someone will give you a voucher that says something about $200 resort credits, and to receive it, you need to meet w/the person downstairs within 24 hours of arriving. Our family did this before we arrived and gave us the heads up that it wasn’t worth the time. If you want resort credit for a massage or something of that nature, do it! I honestly wanted to spend my time at the pool, so we were good there. Be prepared to be offered lots of “upgrades.” For example, if you want “reservations” at one of the restaurants, you’ll need to make a reservation by purchasing a bottle of wine or spirits. We had a great time without all of the upgrades and additions. What made this such a great vacation were the people that served us, talked with us, and took great care of us. Don’t get me wrong, all of the employees were friendly, courteous, and attentive. Our favorite staff members were the “above and beyond” type of people. Tip those people well, friends, and they will take EXCEPTIONAL care of you.

Outstanding vacation at Secrets the Vine, Cancun
Excellent!!!! I highly recommend this resort. All the staff, waiters, pool staff are so nice and very attentive. We were treated so well. I want to thank and praise Chef Isidro and Our waiter Sebastian at Dragons restaurant. Outstanding! They treated us like royalty!!!! Angel customer service was the hostess with the mostess! Again outstanding customer service. I can’t say enough about our experience at Secrets the Vine. We had Master suite ocean view preferred club. Our concierge and staff was also OUTSTANDING!!!! We will return.

The best!!!!
Chef’s table/chef experience with Diego and Chef Orlando were the best!!!! Best food and experience I have had on the fantastic resort! I had a shellfish allergy and Chef Orlando changed the menu and prepared the dishes 30mins prior to the event. It was like eating home cooked Peruvian food! Good stick to your bone make you feel good food!!! Best food here!!!!

Chef kiss to Chefs table
Chef Rolando and Dieago chef table was the best food we had at the resort and an amazing experience. I recommend it to anyone visiting the resort. The food was amazing and I’m going home to make Peruvian food and find a Peruvian restaurant. Such a great experience!
