May 16, 2025Great Experience!
Had a wonderful experience at AVA in April 2025. Traveling with friends and it was the first time for me to visit this resort. The rooms were wonderful and the beds were very, very comfortable. Our room was cleaned daily to our satisfaction. Our butlers Raphael and Tharvin were attentive, respectful and very pleasant to deal with. The food was outstanding, as well. Beautiful restaurants and large, friendly bars to visit after dinner!! I would definitely visit this resort again!

We had a wonderful time at Ava. We traveled with five other couples and had such a fun time together. There were definitely issues checking in, however, they were all resolved to more than our satisfaction. Arlene in the front reception area was incredibly helpful with a smile on her face every time we saw her. The golf was great, the pools were clean and refreshing. The food was absolutely incredible. We’re especially enjoyed the steakhouse, so much so that we ate there twice. The resort is very long from one end to another, so be prepared for that. The golfers in our group enjoyed the course. What made our trip extra special were our butlers Tharvin and Francine. They worked tirelessly to make our trip extra special! They absolutely went above and beyond. We are looking forward to going back this Fall.

A great time at AVA
We recently stayed at AVA with a group of 16 adults. The resort is new and some glitches were expected. We did have a few issues, but all were resolved to our satisfaction. First, the bad- we had an issue with the room we upgraded to in advance not being on file at the resort. There is apparently an issue with communication between the members booking department and the resort. It took a little bit, but the issue was corrected. Spa- the spa underwent maintenance while we were there. We were not notified of this until the day before our prebooked treatments. We weren’t told hydrotherapy wasn’t available until we arrived a hour before our treatments. The front and back of the spa staff didn’t communicate with each other because when we returned for our treatments we were advised that parts of hydro was working. Maintenance and housekeeping isn’t quite up to par with other resorts yet. Our room was directly across from a maintenance room and each morning the door was open and a bit of a mess in the hallway. One of our rooms had a sink still being installed upon arrival and their other sink fell off in the night. We had air conditioning problems. There were some cobwebs and spiders hanging in the shower and water closet Nothing was a major issue and everything was fixed quickly to the best of their ability. A small thing we noticed was the lack of salt and pepper shakers at breakfast. Staff had to take them from other tables every day. These things are just growing pains. Now, the good! Staff was incredible. We were always met with smiles and offers of assistance. Everyone was very friendly and wanted to help you have a great vacation. The wait staff, inside and out, bartenders, everyone was great! We were able to eat at each restaurant and the breakfast buffet. No complaints at all! Pools were good, but small, other than the lagoon. We enjoyed the adult pool because it was a little larger, had sun longer and a covered area to eat. The member pool area was a bit crowded but still a good location. The beach is coming along nicely considering what they started with. I can’t say thank you enough to our butlers, Rafael and Tharvin. They helped us with any issue and request we had. They both made sure we had a great trip!! Our advice is to wait a little longer to visit the resort if you don’t want to deal with the growing pains Once they are 100%, this place will be awesome! There is so much to do for families and adults, plenty of indoor and outdoor activities and the ocean front views are amazing

My first time at Ava was wonderful! The view from each room here truly is spectacular. I love how there is a little bit of everything at this resort, from the activities to the food. And speaking of food, this resort has some of the best selections of food restaurants, from Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, French, American, and VERY authentic Mexican food. Most resorts in Mexico can’t even offer authentic Mexican food, but Ava most certainly can. They have by far some of the BEST tacos, chilaquiles, guacamole, enmoladas, and more! Since this resort has only been open for a short amount of time, there are still some renovations going on inside the resort itself and the beach still needs a lot of work. Also with this resort being new, some of the workers are also new, and they are trying their best to learn about the resort so that they can make your vacation enjoyable. So please be patient, kind, and understanding when working with them. Lastly, I wanted to highlight some of the incredible staff members who helped make our stay here at Ava so amazing: Fran, our butler. Bartenders Oscar, Aldo, Alejandro, Ismael, and Jose. Pool servers Daniel, Carlos, Jose, Carolina, and Javier. Restaurant servers Hugo, Jorge, Jesus, and Gabriel. And entertainment staff members Roberto, Diego, and Gucci

Authentic Mexican food
Ignacio y ángel are amazing! Great customer service at copal. The food was amazing, very attentive service. Loved the restaurant decor!!!! It was a Beautiful restaurant very nicely designed and decorated. I would highly recommend everyone attend
