  Gustavo and Luis were amazing! Wonderful hospitality and they were always available and ready to assist with whatever was needed. The team at the spa was really great as well!

  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ROYALTON RIVIERA CANCUN – YOU HAVE OFFICIALLY RESTORED OUR FAITH IN ROYALTON! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I do have to give a little backstory here, so please stay with me… I promise there’s a happy ending! 😂 Our first Royalton experience was in Jamaica in 2021 — yes, during that time !! Despite the small matter of a global pandemic kicking off, we had an AMAZING holiday. We absolutely loved the hotel, loved the staff and came home completely sold on the Royalton brand. So, naturally, when we went away to the Caribbean again we booked Royalton Bavaro Punta Cana in 2024. Well , how can I put this politely? It was an absolute s*** show 😂 My husband and youngest son ended up in hospital after becoming ill, which we believed was linked to the condition of the pool. Our experience with some of the staff was equally awful — rude, confrontational, aggressive and, at times, downright intimidating. We left saying, “NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL WE GO TO ROYALTON.” And believe me , we absolutely meant it. …until everyone kept telling us, “You need to try Mexico. Mexico is different. Mexico is another level.” Eventually, we gave in and decided Royalton could have ONE LAST CHANCE 😬 Cue the nerves !!!! So, on 24th August, we arrived at Royalton Riviera Cancun in Diamond Club. And I genuinely cannot believe I’m saying this after Punta Cana, but… THIS HOTEL HAS COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY CHANGED OUR MINDS. The resort has been fantastic, but what has really made this holiday exceptional is the STAFF. There are a few people who deserve far more than just a passing mention because they have genuinely made our holiday. ❤️ GEORGINA & OSCAR – OUR DIAMOND CLUB BUTLERS Where do I even start with these two?! Georgina and Oscar were absolutely INCREDIBLE. They are attentive, helpful, friendly, thoughtful and seemingly capable of sorting absolutely anything! Nothing and I mean nothing has ever felt like too much trouble. They have checked on us, helped us, organised things for us and gone above and beyond throughout our stay. Having good butlers is one thing. Having people who genuinely seem to care whether you’re having a wonderful holiday is something completely different. Georgina and Oscar are an absolute credit to this hotel and to Royalton. They played a HUGE part in making this holiday what it has been, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for better people to look after us. ☀️ VALERIO & JUAN – DIAMOND CLUB POOL ATTENDANTS These two! ❤️ Seeing Valerio and Juan every day became part of our holiday. They are kind, funny and helpful, and they gave us so much useful information throughout our stay. I was poorly one day by the pool, and they were genuinely concerned about me and kept checking that I was okay. That kindness meant an awful lot to me. Yes, their job is to look after guests around the pool, but there is a massive difference between simply doing your job and making guests feel genuinely looked after. Valerio and Juan absolutely do the latter. Royalton please look after these guys because they are EXACTLY the sort of staff guests remember when they go home. ❤️ 🍹 ALEJANDRO , JOSEFAT & THE DIAMOND CLUB POOL/BAR TEAM Another huge shout-out, particularly to Alejandro & Josefat What a pair of guys ! 😂🍹 The bar staff quickly got to know us, knew what we drank and were unbelievably attentive. In fact, there were times when another drink appeared before we’d even realised we were ready for one. I’m not saying they’re mind readers… …but I’m also not saying they’re not 😂 Alejandro & Josefat were absolutely brilliant throughout our stay — friendly and attentive. They were the other members of staff who helped make our days around the Diamond Club pool so enjoyable. We were certainly never in danger of dehydration 😂 🧹 HOUSEKEEPING The housekeeping team also deserve enormous credit. Our rooms have been kept beautifully, the beds have been perfect, everything has been clean and tidy, and the service has been incredibly efficient. Housekeeping can sometimes be overlooked in reviews, but they work so so incredibly hard behind the scenes and they have done a fantastic job throughout our stay. Thank you! ❤️ 🍽️ THE FOOD We travelled during low season and knew beforehand that this could mean some restaurants wouldn’t open every night. Did it ruin our experience? Not even slightly. The buffet has been brilliant — loads of choice, beautifully presented and, most importantly, the food actually tastes as good as it looks. Taj Indian Restaurant — WHAT A GEM! Absolutely fantastic food. Hunter Steakhouse — our favourite ❤️. We loved it. Agave — brilliant Mexican food. Caribbean/Seafood — another lovely meal. Armadillo - Again brilliant food The bars throughout the resort have also been excellent. Ask for something and they’ll happily make it , usually followed by another one appearing approximately 30 seconds before you even knew you wanted it. 😂 And that really sums up the service here. We arrived at Royalton Riviera Cancun as a family who had almost completely written off the Royalton brand. We left feeling the complete opposite. This stay has 1000% restored our faith in Royalton. And while the hotel itself is beautiful, buildings and pools don’t make people want to return. PEOPLE DO. For us, those people were especially: ❤️ GEORGINA ❤️ OSCAR ❤️ VALERIO ❤️ JUAN ❤️ ALEJANDRO ❤️ JOSEFAT These six people didn’t just provide good service , they made a genuine difference to our holiday. After our previous experience, Royalton Riviera Cancun had quite a mountain to climb to convince us to love the brand again. You did it. And a huge part of the reason was the wonderful staff named above. We arrived saying, this is Royalton’s last chance. We have left saying… When can we come back? ❤️🇲🇽😂 Thank you, Royalton Riviera Cancun — but most of all, thank you, Georgina, Oscar, Valerio, Juan , Josefat and Alejandro.

  NEVER AGAIN

  Beach was ok, sea was brown and full of seaweed! Tui Reps!! Shambles Had to move room 3 times, suppossed to be upgraded to Diamond Club,,,,Joke Nothing we got from my partner being burnt by a faulty steamer and electricity off in room for 45 mins. Cairen that worked for Tui & in resort. AWFUL But staff in the Royalton at bars and food places were lovely

  Ciaran and Selene are great!

  We had a great time at this hotel! Ciaran and Selene looked after us really well, always there when needed and also loved the pro active check ins throughout our stay to make sure it was all good! We recommend the monkey sanctuary trip, was great! Cheers Leanne, Mark & the Abdy’s!
