    Worst management ever

The hotel itself isn’t the worst place in Mexico, my husband and I have stayed, however; the staff, in particular the front desk staff Karina is a horrible human! We booked an “Ocean FRONT” room and when we arrived they put us in a PARTIAL Ocean view room. We called our booking agency and they called the hotel and tried to get it fixed. Karina acted as if she just needed to speak with the agent and would get us put in the correct room immediately. We sat at the front smiling stupidly, expecting to find ourselves in the correct room for over an hour, not knowing they had already called to confirm we had booked Ocean FRONT not PARTIAL View yet Karina and the other female staff communicated in Spanish (my fault for not understanding more ) that our room had been filled and there weren’t any available so they basically just wasted our time and energy so they didn’t have to admit it. Had they just been upfront about it instead of acting as if they wanted to help us and wasting our time I wouldn’t have wasted so much effort trying to contact the agency and such after traveling all day. Hotel okay, I attached pics, our room other than the view was clean and there was a bottle of wine, rum and fruit which was a very nice surprise. I would definitely eat elsewhere and because you’re all considered “preferred “ when staying at dreams which gives you access to Sunscape and Secrets (even to the bars and restaurants people staying at the hotel don’t have access to unless they are “preferred “ ) the food at Dreams is not great. Most of the other staff was great but this initial meeting with the front desk made me certain I won’t be back and I wouldn’t recommend that anyone else have to go through this so the hotel okay but front desk staff is the worst !

Not a Dream vacation we hoped for...

This was not the Dream vacation we were hoping for. 11 out of 13 of us became ill with GI issues. Our two last days the water coming out of the faucet was brown and every time you flushed the potty it smelled like poo, even if it was just #1. Walking around outside, especially near the pool bathrooms, smelled like a sewage back up. No wonder we all were sick with GI issues, I'm thinking it was way more than "you drank the water". Our room was so musty and humid, that there was mildew on the walls. The humidity in the room made the bed coverings damp. It didn't matter what we set the thermostat to, it would not help. The housekeeping staff was nice, but if you needed to call for anything, nothing would happen for two hours till you called again. Food options were terrible, not all the restaurants are open at the same time. Trying to get snacks at the pool or beach area was almost non-existent, and you were not allowed to take food out of the buffet area, like a plate of fresh fruit, ended up bribing the bartender for a banana. No consistency with when the "server" would be at the beach, told three different times. If you wanted "snacks" you were told to buy them at the little store located at Sunscape ($17 for a bag of Doritos) or go to Sunscape or Secrets. The entertainment shows were pretty decent.

    Safe and dreamy Cozumel stay

We had a wonderful trip- the staff was amazing, especially Leonardo and Carlos who served at the world cafe. The dreams resort is definitely worth the splurge, if you’re on the fence. Much bigger rooms and excellent food. Thanks again for a fabulous week.

Wonderful place to stay. Can’t beat the service.

We have stayed at this resort many times. As usual, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated to the best service we have ever experienced anywhere. Love this place and the people who work there.
