  Location.

  As titanium elite members we got an upgrade when we arrived at the hotel , pleasant,efficient staff. Ideally located to all the main attractions, bars and restaurants,everything within walking distance.Our room was spacious, clean with lovely views of Malaga port. The roof terrace bar and pool where you can either sit outside or in the restaurant area has a 360 view of the city, great place to have a drink or something to eat. We enjoyed our stay here, would definitely revisit.

  The Perfect Base in the heart of Malaga

  We stopped for 3 nights at this hotel. It’s in a brilliant spot right between the cathedral and the port, with a rooftop terrace everyone falls in love with. The hotel feels modern and comfortable, very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. We were in Malaga for the Parade of the Three Kings which was amazing.

  Perfect location, great stay

  We loved our stay here! The room was lovely, with comfy beds and a breathtaking view from the balcony. The bathroom was nice and big. The staff were friendly. We didn’t try any food options, so can’t speak to that. We loved the amazingly convenient location - you can walk just about anywhere. Would definitely recommend!

  Disappointing! Other hotels far better in Malaga.

  Disappointed with stay at the AC Marriott Palacio. Despite having previously asked for a room with a walk in shower, we were advised on check in that the hotel was very busy and this was not possible. The receptionist did offer a non slip mat for the bath which did help. As a loyalty member with 58000 points I was disappointed my request for the walk in shower could not be met. The room itself overlooked the harbour with a great view but the downside was the noise from the traffic 24/7. The door onto the balcony did not shut well enough to keep the noise of wind and traffic out. This is obviously a common problem as other reviews have stated. If management are aware, then maybe maintenance should be checking them. The air conditioning was useless. Some people were complaining at reception but were told it was working and to give it half an hour so what was the point of notifying anybody. The only way to cool the room was to open the balcony door which was not acceptable for the noise. The bathroom was very clean but the toilet paper was very fine paper and the amount provided was not sufficient as other reviews have stated. At reception I paid the bill the night before leaving and then the following morning handed the key card in. On neither occasion did the staff members ask how our stay had been. Poor customer service. Security on the door were pleasant and greeted us each time we entered the hotel. The best part of this hotel was the roof terrace and bar. Spectacular views with great staff. When we next visit Malaga, we will NOT choose the AC Marriott Palacio. The Marriott brand and team could learn a lot from the Vincci Larios Diez hotel where we had spent the previous days.

  Great location, average amenities

  The location is excellent; steps from the cathedral, and across the street from the ocean. However, that’s the only good part about this property. We took an hour to check in, because the front desk person was extremely confused about everything! Kept making mistakes and redoing the check in procedure. The junior suite was comfortable and large enough for the three of us. The balcony door was not airtight, and we could hear the traffic on the main road in front, the entire night. There was a coffee machine, with capsules, but no cups. No glasses to drink water in. Not enough toilet roll in the bathroom. And most of the staff was too busy to be friendly or welcoming! We had to get glasses and cups from the bar on the ground floor, which were cleared out the following day by the housekeeping staff. We would think twice before staying here again.
