  experience of turks and alexandra resort

  The location was amazing and very close to the airport. the location was also amazing for beach, food, and atmosphere. the view of the resort, beach, sunset, sunrise all made the vacation amazing. The room was upgraded for us and we could not be more thankful of the resort. we had many bathrooms, great amount of space, and even had a full functioning kitchen. Everything was very clean and well functioning. we cannot wait to visit turks again. the staff was also amazing, Keisha, Rhazzor, mustafa, and syker always took the extra mile!

  An Amazing Bday Weekend

  I went to Alexandra for a Fri-Tues early-October 40th Birthday Trip - it was me, the bday girl, and her mom, and we legitimately just wanted to eat, drink, and relax away from real life for a moment. It's hard to begin to describe how great our stay was!! This was my first all-inclusive experience and it did not disappoint. Technically this was during hurricane season, but we lucked out with no real bad weather. It was in the mid-to-high 80s F the whole time, and the water was super refreshing. I'll start with the Resort - Anyone who frequent the tropics knows to expect a certain amount of wear and tear in any place, but I found the facilities to be good to very good. The beach is small compared to the nearby Beaches resort, but not too small to accommodate the guests. I was there in the off-season, so I didn't expect a ton of people, but there were enough that it didn't feel dead while also not feeling crowded. Some of the umbrellas were missing covers, but I didn't see anyone unable to enjoy the beach while I was there. We are on-the-beach-all-day types so I witnessed the ebb and flow of guests on the beach throughout the day and never saw any problems. There are a handful of floaties that have been left by former patrons, but I suggest you bring your own inflatables if you want a guaranteed ocean-floating experience. We checked out snorkels with no problem and walked down the beach (to the other side of Beaches) to the small reef to see some wildlife with no problem. I also saw some people checking out paddle boards and kayaks. Alexandra has a portion of the water bouyed-off for ease of swimming without worrying about nearby boats. The water is clean, clear, and gentle (compared to the northeast US coast I'm use to) - the beach was a huge selling-point for us, and it did not disappoint! There were some vendors along the beach - The Shell King is very nice and will engrave a conch shell for you np, and there were people selling parasailing and similar experiences - everyone was nice and it never reached an overbearing level, which I appreciated. You should bring cash for tips and goods/experiences, but you can also arrange excursions through the resort easily, and we were never pressured to tip extra anywhere. We stayed in a 1 bedroom ocean view room - which was an upgrade for us as we anticipated a garden view - and the staff even included a Bday cake on the counter upon arrival which was such a great touch. The room was clean, included a full kitchen, and washer/drier. A/C worked great, the balcony had a great view of the ocean, and we were supplied with any addition towel/ blanket requests pretty quickly. There was some construction going on while we were there - literally really kicking off the day we arrived - but ultimately had no major issues stemming from it. Mom in our party has some mobility issues, and within one day alternate routes were laid out and were flat and safe to walk on to not extend the walk from our room to the beach. The only downside was towards the end of our trip, the closest bathroom to the beach was closed because if this. When it comes down to it though, the updates/ construction were clearly being done to improve the facilities, and there was never any excess noise related to it. It's the off-season so things like this aren't totally unexpected, but if at any point we said "I need to walk this way" we were accommodated. The Food & Drinks - The food across the resorts - Alexandra and Blue Haven - was honestly great. The breakfast buffet was so great - really tasty and varied foods available, and any requests accommodated. We had iced-coffee and a mix of french toast, breakfast potatoes, chicken, eggs/omelets, lots of crispy bacon, grits, and a vriety of baked goods every morning. For lunch and dinner, there were 3-4 restaurants on rotation at Alexandra while we were there - allowing a choice of usually 2-3 dining experiences for each meal. Turquoise Grill, Black Rock Grill, and the Truck Stop all had great food. Anything salad-related had watch lettuce, so I wouldn't recommend those types of foods when it's super hot out, because I don't think that could be avoided in the heat. We honestly were so full after every meal, and Mom has a seafood allergy and had zero issues. If anyone asked for any off-menu changes, it was accommodated right way (like plain grilled chicken instead of jerk-spiced chicken). We even took some lunches to-go and ate on the beach. While we cleaned up our trash when we were done, the staff also walked up and down the beach collecting trash and taking/delivering drink orders. Drinks were always available when we wanted, and staff made any drink really, but also had a menu of beachy cocktails as well. There is a huge you're-on-vacation-so-enjoy positive mentality across the resort which I enjoyed the whole time. We also visited Blue Haven for dinner at Fire and Ice and enjoyed the 360 Bar and had a great time and easy travel with the convenient shuttle from Alexandra. Any place that required a reservation was super each to make as well. Blue Haven was cute, but much smaller, and it's in the marina, so there were mosquitos there which I never experienced at Alexandra. Still those facilities looked nice, with a similar roped-off area for swimming, and a nice looking infinity pool with tons of seating a titi-torch/fire pits for some really great ambiance. The Staff - I was so impressed by the staff here. Everyone was friendly and tried to help anyone and everyone at every turn with no hesitation. They were responsive and really engaging, from the food/drink service to the entertainment hosted, and really contributed to the amazing time we had! From arrival to departure, we felt that we were being taken care of 100%. Overall - We had a great time at the Alexandra Resort, and are already planning the next trips here, both smaller friend-trips and larger family trips. I would really recommend staying here and can't wait to go back!

  Heaven on Earth

  We have blessed to experience God’s beauty in many different places, but this is the most beautiful trip we have taken! The resort was intimate, with so many opportunities for fun! The resort also included free water activities with great opportunities to schedule excursions. We did not have to travel far from the airport and we were close to shopping and other attractions in the local area. Our room, had a fabulous, spacious balcony with an ocean view. It also included a wonderful kitchenette and stocked refrigerator. It was spacious and absolutely perfect!

  Five stars for the view, six for Valery

  Amazing experience! The food, drinks, and views were incredible, but Valery was the real highlight. He’s an outstanding bartender, has an amazing personality, and that smile should honestly come with a warning 😂 And the entire staff deserves a shoutout—they were all so friendly, attentive, and fun. Everyone made us feel like we were regulars, even though we didn’t want to admit how quickly we were getting comfortable. To end the review, the beach got us here, but Valery might be the reason we come back! 😉

  Jamaican Jerk Paradise

  My girlfriend and I chose this as our getaway of a lifetime and it did not disappoint!! Everyone has been lovely, the service has been top notch and we’re only 3 days in! There’s been a couple things that I need to highlight so far that I haven’t been able to hold in at all… The Water and Silvi’s Jamaican Jerk! Lunch every day on the beach with some of the best food I have ever had. I’m literally writing this review with my feet in the sand and Jamaican Jerk sauce on my hands! I’m in love! 🥹❤️☀️
