Playa del carme
The place is incredible to rest, the rooms are spotless, the front beach is marvellous and you can enjoy the sunrise or the sunset. The zone around the hotel is fantastic. You can walk to Quinta avenida in 15 minutes and see more things. Besides, the staff was willing to help you specially Alejandra, Jania, Ricardo and Isaac, and Amadeus which were incredible people. The food was lovely and the mexican and italian restaurants were absolutely delightful. It's a good place to read and play sports like basketball, chess or football. For sure I'll come back in another holiday. I just want to add a small improvement because on the left side of the front beach, some people from other hotels smoke and even weed, which is highly terrible because all the smoke goes to the villas in front of the beach and sometimes there are children playing around.

Never pay full price
Average food, average service, extra small rooms only two beds and that's it, just for sleeping, the tv is not smart microwave doesn't work doors may need repair, of the 3 restaurants only one opens per day you will never have another option. If you don't have first club membership have to wait 2 hours to reserve for the dinner and pray to find an space. Prepare to pay a lot for transportation, as no other services are allowed to access the zone.

Allegro Playcar Review
We enjoyed several aspects of our stay at Allegro Playacar. The room was spacious and generally clean, with the exception of curtains that could have been better maintained. We appreciated the daily provision of bottled water and the thoughtful towel reuse program promoting sustainability. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the freshly cooked omelets and the variety of fresh fruits and juices. The pool activities and aqua aerobics were engaging and added a lively touch to our days. Evening shows were entertaining and well-produced, making for enjoyable nights. The hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped, resembling a well-kept park with many flowering bushes and palms providing pleasant shade. The beach is long with plenty of loungers, making it easy to find a spot, and it is regularly cleaned, although the lounger's area had some litter like cigarette butts, which detracted from the overall cleanliness. We liked that the restaurant was conveniently located near the beach, allowing easy access without climbing hills. However, there were a few challenges. Despite requesting a room close to the ocean due to our age and mobility concerns (we are over 70), we were assigned room at the top of a hill. This made daily trips to the beach difficult in the intense heat, and we were disappointed that our senior request was not honored. Check-in was also frustratingly slow, taking about an hour due to payment issues involving PayPal and credit card processing, only resolved after staff assistance. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was low, and despite the hotel having air-conditioned buffet areas, we were not always seated there and found some dining areas uncomfortably hot, even with fans. Overall, Allegro Playacar offers many enjoyable amenities and beautiful surroundings, but improvements in guest room assignments, check-in efficiency, and maintenance details would greatly enhance the experience—especially for senior guests.

Best Anniversary Trip
My husband and I just got back from Allegro Playacar for our 25th wedding anniversary. We had the best week, and we plan to book there again in six months. Our room was lovely. Close to the beach and to one of the pools. The air conditioning worked great, and it was hot outside. The shower heated up well. The king size bed was comfortable. The buffet options were good, but it's all inclusive, so if you're expecting a Michelin star restaurant, you will be disappointed. We found things we enjoyed at every meal. And, we ate 2 nights at the Italian restaurant, and that was yummy. You have to line up in the lobby each morning to make reservations at the a la carte restaurant, and they should work to improve that process. The nightly entertainment was very good - Michael Jackson review, acrobatic dancing, Las Vegas style magician, a night of romance. We went every night and it was very enjoyable. We got a couple's massage onsite and that was awesome. I went back the next day for an equally good hands and feet massage. Ask for Maria. The prices were expensive for the area, so you probably could venture off the resort for cheaper prices. Playacar is a gated neighborhood, and felt very safe. We took a left out of the resort every morning and walked 2 minutes to Starbucks. There's a cute plaza there with stores, a gym, and a bar. Allegro Playacar has its own store onsite, also, and we bought t-shirts and hats there. The pools and swim up bar were clean and well maintained. The beach was beautiful and very close to the resort. The most important thing to mention was the entirely wonderful staff at the resort. I wanted to improve my Spanish, and they patiently helped me all week. Our stay was greatly improved by the warm and helpful folks, from housekeeping to waiters to the spa to the hostesses. We even talked to the operations manager, and he was very helpful. Humberto, David, Ariel, Rafael...we will be back! Thank you for such a welcoming and relaxing week to celebrate our anniversary ❤️.

Staff at Allegro Playacar First Club is the reason why I keep coming back! Best time every time!
This is my 5th trip to Allegro Playacar. The staff at First Club have become my family over the years. Mayra, Gala, Diana, Angel and Andres make our stay at the club so fun and memorable every time. The service here is unbeatable, they are kind, friendly, fun and so so so attentive. It’s always like coming back to my Mexican home. ✨✨🫶🏽🙏🏽 I would highly recommend OVC and Allegro to everyone who’s looking for a great vacation.
