  shoking worst place i have ever staid in my life ,food is all cold and caterd to the french .No english speeking entertainment ,people say avoid please do so .

  Disappointed 😞

  Fuerteventura is not for everyone. Well the area we stayed in. Esquinzo. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday to sunbathe, eat and drink away the days then this is for you! We found the staff surly and non plussed except for Sonia at the snack bar who is always busy but never too busy to make you feel special. The Atmosphere hmmmm cold and unwelcoming at best. The rooms are not 4 star. Painted over bathroom tiles, dirt up the tiles by the loo. Cracked sink and botched repairs to the bath. Beds were OK. One drawer in the room so be prepared to live out of your suitcase. The rooms were surface clean. Floor, sink etc. But dust and grime above the floor was evident. The food is strictly basic but ok. Do come here if you want a relaxing no frills get away from it all! Don't come here if you have mobility issues, rooms set away from main building down a winding slope. Each area of rooms is on 2 levels. Be prepared to climb some stairs to the upper level, no lift. Also access to public transport is up a steep hill above the hotel. Dont come here if you like usual 4 star amenities. You will be disappointed! Beach down a gravel track would take about 15 minutes to get to. Be aware people with mobility issues. The beach is pleasant however. Just remember its uphill on the way back to the hotel. The nearest town about 15 mins coach ride (our driver was very nice) at a cost of 1 euro 40 each way per person or 10 euro taxi ride. Shop keepers and market vendors very surly and rude if you dont buy anything. We are always polite that made no difference here. Animation team.....what animation team they or at least I think it was them passed by without even a hello. Chattering away to each other in French. In conclusion would we come here again ...no. the transfer from the airport was 1.5 hours. New border controls TIA slow it took nearly 2 hours to clear customs. I would hate to visit here in the summer! Please be prepared!

  A mixed experience saved by the weather.

  There were some pros and cons with this resort: A nice clean place to visit for away a winter break. We booked one day before travel and were unable to add a transfer to the airport which cost us by taxi 110 Euros there and 120 Euros back to the airport. There is an indoor swimming pool and sauna which made a big difference, as the outdoor pools were cold. Nearest town centre (Solano Matoral) is 10 mins by car and has excellent shops and restaurants. The rooms are spread out and there is quite a steep walk and incline to the furthest rooms . So when walking back to the main building it would be difficult for anyone who is elderly or disabled. I.e you need to be fit to be able to walk backwards and forwards between the services. In the evenings the entertainment team tried there best but I would say it was quite basic. I can say the all inclusive vodka was watered down quite a lot as i could not feel a buzz after two large shots ! The biggest issue was the Indian cook on our last evening meal. The service was on a par with faulty towers. Some of the hot food items were not clearly marked. When I asked the cook what meat is in one of the dishes, he sternly replied “mixed meats” . As I am someone trying to cut down on my red meat consumption and I also do not eat much pork. There was a tag next to another dish which read “turkey” however me and my wife are pretty confident that they were serving pork instead. When raising the matter with the cook he said “this is Turkey steaks”. The cook was also doing some live cooking of this meat and serving it half cooked ! There were some Muslim customers eating from the same dishes and it would have been wrong if they were served a meat that does not suit their religion. We did hear the chef say under his breath “ if you don’t like it , don’t eat it”. Areas of improvement are the cook , the food labelling and attitude of some individuals who were trying hard to be nice but you could see they were pretending. Nicest person was Alex on reception who arranged to move our room closer to the main building.

  Wonderful week and a fantastic New Year

  A wonderful family holiday perfect hotel wonderful food and the service we received from everybody was wonderful, New Years Eve was fantastic I will never forget it a big shout out to Oz and Sara who made us feel very welcome, and entertained us and my son who loved playing football and he really enjoyed the football match he took part it

  Good hotel

  Overall hotel and food amazing, however if you from Britain, this hotel more for French people as entertainment and staff speaking most of the time French or Spanish. Christmas evening was beyond perfection, they made all the guests to feel that special time.
