    Paradise on earth

We had a fantastic 2 nights at Anse Chastenet. The staff were superb. We were given a great room upgrade to The Beach House. There were lots of unexpected little extras and we were made to feel very special. The food was really good and we were very well looked after. The beach is lovely with pelicans flying up and down and fishing all day. Couldn't fault the facilities. Would definitely recommend.

    Sustainable splendor

The perfect location on the island with the most beautiful beach imaginable. Each day we witnessed another snorkeler sharing how many creatures they had seen! The rooms can be difficult to get to as most are up or down steps but a simple request took us from a room with too many steps for us to manage to a manageable amount. The AI package was generous, the food abundant, the drinks delicious, and the room was breathtaking. The open air concept was comfortable all 24 hours of the day, bugs were not an issue at all. The natural sounds from the wildlife on the island was pleasant, the peeper frogs were slightly obnoxious but we found they stopped around midnight and were easy to get used to after the first night. The hotel provides earplugs should you need them. We did not need bug spray and housekeeping lights a mosquito coil each night at turndown. Getting there is part of the adventure. Put down your phone and really look out the window, it will help with carsickness if you suffer and you will see so much. We recommend hiring a driver who knows the roads and how to navigate them. We only ran into issues on the road with tourists driving hire cars, locals know how to deal with the sometimes scary spots on the roads. Narrow, steep, loose gravel, areas where mirrors on the side of the road must be utilized. Support the local economy by hiring a local driver! The shuttle service will take you to any level very quickly, even the beach! The art class was a must-do. So much fun! Anse Chastanet was the perfect hotel. Sustainable, healthy and delicious food, wonderful service, commitment to St Lucian values, beautiful surrounding and wildlife, entertainment, excursions for everyone.

    Amazing New Year family week

We have just returned from a week trip to this amazing resort, we had two rooms as a family of 4, we stayed in 15A and 1A, both amazing views; overall the experience was perfect, staff attentive, food top quality. We have stayed in many places around the world and this place is amongst the best.

A very special place in St. Lucia!

We absolutely loved our stay at Anse Chastanet and would happily return. The resort itself is stunning and incredibly clean and well kept. The beach is gorgeous, the water is refreshing and beautiful, and the overall setting feels peaceful without being too quiet or sleepy. We did the all-inclusive plan and were very happy with it. The food was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. The beach atmosphere was wonderful - there was no loud music, but plenty of people enjoying swimming, snorkeling, lounging, and the restaurants and bars. The snorkeling right offshore was excellent with very easy entry, which made it a highlight for us. I thought I might miss having a pool, but it truly was not an issue at all. We stayed in a deluxe beachside room and loved it. While these rooms do not have the Piton views that the hillside rooms offer, they have air conditioning and are extremely convenient to the beach, beach bar, and restaurants. If we wanted a Piton or coastline view, it was just a walk up to the concierge bar area or continue up toward Jade Mountain for some incredible scenery/views. It is important to note that the beach rooms are more of a jungle view, which does mean tree frogs, birds, bugs, and other jungle creatures. The mosquito nets around the beds definitely help at night, but all rooms are somewhat open to the elements, so that is something to be aware of. The staff overall was incredibly kind and welcoming. Most of the entire staff team truly went out of their way to be helpful. (There were a handful of restaurant/bar staff who were not particularly friendly, but they were the exception. ) The concierge, Gifter, was especially wonderful throughout our eight-night stay and helped us with many logistics. We also rented one of the resort’s catamarans for a half-day excursion, and the captain and crew were absolutely outstanding. The service could not have been better. We were on property for the New Years Eve celebration and it was spectacular! The staff did such an amazing job with dinner, live music, and a solid fireworks show! We were at the resort during the Caribbean airspace shutdown when our flight was canceled, and this is where Anse Chastanet truly impressed us. The general manager, Andrew, was on site and personally managing the emergency accommodations for all affected guests. I cannot remember the names of the other staff members at the reception desk, but they were also incredibly helpful and organized. The organization, calm leadership, and positive attitude during a very stressful situation were remarkable, and we felt very well taken care of and treated like family. A few practical tips for future guests: If you do the mud bath excursion, plan on throwing your bathing suit away afterward. The sulfur smell is extremely strong and almost impossible to wash out. Do not put it in the washing machine with other clothes unless you want everything to smell like sulfur. Also, do not rent a car. The roads are extremely winding, and the final stretch to the resort is a very steep dirt road. The local drivers are experts and taxis are absolutely the way to go! Lastly, we appreciated that during the winter months the resort does not allow small children. The atmosphere was peaceful without feeling quiet or boring, and it made for a very relaxing experience. Overall, this was a fantastic trip and a truly special place. We loved our stay and will absolutely return!

    Understated Elegance

Another wonderful vacation 20 years after my first time here. Everything was as great as I remembered. We enjoyed all our interaction with the staff. Our room was fantastic with great views of the Pitons. If you want understated elegance and a low-key atmosphere, this is the place to go and get away from all the turmoil in the world.
