Amazing New Year family week
We have just returned from a week trip to this amazing resort, we had two rooms as a family of 4, we stayed in 15A and 1A, both amazing views; overall the experience was perfect, staff attentive, food top quality. We have stayed in many places around the world and this place is amongst the best.

A very special place in St. Lucia!
We absolutely loved our stay at Anse Chastanet and would happily return. The resort itself is stunning and incredibly clean and well kept. The beach is gorgeous, the water is refreshing and beautiful, and the overall setting feels peaceful without being too quiet or sleepy. We did the all-inclusive plan and were very happy with it. The food was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. The beach atmosphere was wonderful - there was no loud music, but plenty of people enjoying swimming, snorkeling, lounging, and the restaurants and bars. The snorkeling right offshore was excellent with very easy entry, which made it a highlight for us. I thought I might miss having a pool, but it truly was not an issue at all. We stayed in a deluxe beachside room and loved it. While these rooms do not have the Piton views that the hillside rooms offer, they have air conditioning and are extremely convenient to the beach, beach bar, and restaurants. If we wanted a Piton or coastline view, it was just a walk up to the concierge bar area or continue up toward Jade Mountain for some incredible scenery/views. It is important to note that the beach rooms are more of a jungle view, which does mean tree frogs, birds, bugs, and other jungle creatures. The mosquito nets around the beds definitely help at night, but all rooms are somewhat open to the elements, so that is something to be aware of. The staff overall was incredibly kind and welcoming. Most of the entire staff team truly went out of their way to be helpful. (There were a handful of restaurant/bar staff who were not particularly friendly, but they were the exception. ) The concierge, Gifter, was especially wonderful throughout our eight-night stay and helped us with many logistics. We also rented one of the resort’s catamarans for a half-day excursion, and the captain and crew were absolutely outstanding. The service could not have been better. We were on property for the New Years Eve celebration and it was spectacular! The staff did such an amazing job with dinner, live music, and a solid fireworks show! We were at the resort during the Caribbean airspace shutdown when our flight was canceled, and this is where Anse Chastanet truly impressed us. The general manager, Andrew, was on site and personally managing the emergency accommodations for all affected guests. I cannot remember the names of the other staff members at the reception desk, but they were also incredibly helpful and organized. The organization, calm leadership, and positive attitude during a very stressful situation were remarkable, and we felt very well taken care of and treated like family. A few practical tips for future guests: If you do the mud bath excursion, plan on throwing your bathing suit away afterward. The sulfur smell is extremely strong and almost impossible to wash out. Do not put it in the washing machine with other clothes unless you want everything to smell like sulfur. Also, do not rent a car. The roads are extremely winding, and the final stretch to the resort is a very steep dirt road. The local drivers are experts and taxis are absolutely the way to go! Lastly, we appreciated that during the winter months the resort does not allow small children. The atmosphere was peaceful without feeling quiet or boring, and it made for a very relaxing experience. Overall, this was a fantastic trip and a truly special place. We loved our stay and will absolutely return!

Understated Elegance
Another wonderful vacation 20 years after my first time here. Everything was as great as I remembered. We enjoyed all our interaction with the staff. Our room was fantastic with great views of the Pitons. If you want understated elegance and a low-key atmosphere, this is the place to go and get away from all the turmoil in the world.

A beautiful resort for a relaxing break close to nature.
We spent a week at the resort. We booked a standard room but were upgraded to a spacious, sea view room. There is no air conditioning but plenty of ceiling and standing fans. The side of the room overlooking the sea was netted and had slatted blinds. We were both comfortable and not troubled by mosquitoes. In any event, there is a net around the bed. We delighted in hearing the wonderful sounds of the waves, frogs and insects in their natural chorus. Accessing the room from the dining area on the level below, necessitated walking up a number of steps and down a slope. There are further steps down to a lounge bar area and to the beach. Make sure to check mobility wise which room is best for you. There are three dining areas (one at beach level). The food is exquisite and there is an interesting and varied vegan menu. Plenty overall to choose from. The staff are attentive, service is discreet and very warm and friendly. Service is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. There are good sunbeds and bar service on the beach immediately below the resort and on Anse Mamin (plantation belongs to the resort) which is about a ten minute flat walk from the main beach. Otherwise, accessible by resort boat. It is possible to walk unguided, in Anse Mamin plantation. Worth doing. There are plenty of activities to choose from, a few are complimentary e.g walk to Soufriere on market day. Would recommend doing the Tree to bar chocolate excursion which includes a trip to Emerald Plantation used for growing produce for the resort. There is some music entertainment over dinner. Otherwise, the resort is blissfully peaceful and is in a beautiful corner of the island, far away from the main beach area.
- Advisory**Note: There are no TV's, radios or telephones in the rooms. Also, the only rooms with air conditioning are the Beachside Deluxe rooms.
