  Relaxing and great service

  My sister and I had the best time at this hotel. We loved the beach bar with beautiful beds to lay on at the beach. The beach waiters were so friendly and accommodating and even served us if we were there before they opened. Front desk service was great as well , so friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our vacation memorable 💜🥂

  A BEACHY HIDEAWAY

  We spent four enjoyable days at L’ Domaine, Astrid thank you for your warm welcome and orientation to the hotel and area. The room was very comfortable, set up as a spacious studio, with a lot of closets and shelves including in the bathroom. We appreciated the complimentary water on arrival in the refrigerator. The room has a fun beach vibe, and was always kept clean. The L’Occitane shower products were a pleasant surprise, towels were scratchy and thin. View from the terrace was enhanced by the beauty of the grounds, most early mornings I was on the terrace thinking of the plans for the day. Breakfast at the Beach restaurant was good, loved having breakfast almost on the beach. Interactions with the restaurant staff were mixed and minimal since it was self service. Bar service was good the bartenders and afternoon staff were more customer oriented than breakfast staff. The complex is gated, initially it was hard to navigate the complex, though we were given a map it wasn’t that helpful. The beach was beautiful well kept by the beach boys who were helpful and friendly. Since we were guests we did not have to pay for the lounges and umbrella and could reserve them. After visiting serval beaches this was my favorite, for the swimming experience, views and amenities. The hotel is located at the top of a steep and twisting road which seems to deteriorate as you progress towards the hotel. This can be isolating if you don’t want to be driving on the road at night, however there are a few other restaurants in the area, on the marina or in a nearby shopping area you can walk to.The Gourmet Restaurant was by far the best restaurant in the area. This is also a good base for a visit to Pinel Island, it is just a quick ride down the road. We would visit again.

  A peaceful and lovely stay on the cove

  We spent 5 lovely nights and days at Le Domaine Anse Marcel Beach Resort. Typically, we stay on Orient Beach when we visit St. Martin, but this time we chose to give Anse Marcel a try. We have visited the cove before on our explorations of the island, however, this was our first stay there. We enjoyed everything about our stay at Le Domaine, especially the food. First, our room was a sea-view studio in building #6 on the third floor (floor #2). The room was clean and comfortable with a view over the courtyard to the cove. The beach was was peaceful and also comfortable with our two padded chaises and umbrella. Be sure to reserve them in advance to assure front row chairs. The cove is a picture-postcard setting. Winds and some seaweed were the only negatives -- obviously, not under the control of management. I'm a bit embarrassed to say that the highpoints were our meals. We did not plan on eating so often or so much. The breakfasts (at about $19 apiece) were perfect for us with lots of choices. For lunches, we did the Le Ti' Marcel snack bar on day 1, the Beach Restaurant on day 2, and the Beach House on days 3 and 4. All were excellent, especially the latter two. As for dinner, we dined at Le Gourmet three times. This is one of the best restaurant experiences we have ever had. While the chalk-board menu was not lengthy, there were enough variety and daily changes so that no repeats were necessary. This is truly fine dining, and we did not think it to be over-priced. Josh was our waiter each night, and he was as exceptional as the chefs -- as were all of the staff at the hotel and restaurants. It was an easy 10-minute walk to a commercial area where the Petit Casino provided daily provisions for those who needed them. We didn't need much since Le Domaine took such good care of us. Lastly, the resort provided taxi transfer to and from the Airport with JR's service -- probably a bit pricey but well worth it to us.

  Nearly perfect

  We have vacationed in Ance Marcel at least a dozen times over the past 20 years. This was our first time staying at Les Domaine as our prior hotels/resorts were not available. The Ance Marcel setting is utterly superior to any place else on the island. The views, the beach, the vibe, and the relative privacy away from the crowds is hard to put a price on. The staff are all incredibly professional, accommodating, and charming at Les Domaine. There is the added advantage of a second separate restaurant just a stroll down the beach. The breakfast buffet was adequate but could be improved. The food quality for lunch and dinner were both superior and consistent with what one expects on the French side-- absolutely delicious. The truth is, we would gladly pay MORE than we did for our three rooms, and if that slight extra cost could be put into polishing off some of the rough edges...finer linens, better breakfast, landscaping...this resort would be overun with demand. We will absolutely come back next year.

  Skip the Beach House

  Been coming to St. Maarten for over 35 years. We had the WORST beach experience at the Beach House. It is the beach club in front of the restaurant Le Gourmet, at Le Domaine at Anse Marcel. I just want to be clear. This review is about my experience at the Beach House Beach Club, not about this hotel. I did not stay here. Paid $100 for 2 chairs, and the server never came over once all day. However, the same server went over many times to his group of friends on the beach throughout the day, bringing them all kinds of drinks and shots. In addition, the bathroom had no toilet paper, even at the beginning of the day. We have spoken to other repeat guests on the island who feel the same way. We suggest sticking to the 1st Anse Marcel Beach Club (original), right next door. Service, food, and beverages have always been fantastic. We miss seeing the regular manager, there. She always gave us a warm welcome over the years.
