    Wonderfull stay at Ruaha River Lodge

    What a beautiful place to stay in Ruaha. Although a bit bigger lodge than we were used to in some other places, it still feels small and comfortable. Lodge and rooms are located on the riverbank with quite some wildlife present. Manegement (Sally and Karl) and staff are very friendly and helpfull. Food was really good, both in the lodge and the packed bush breakfast- and lunch. Alex was our guide and we enjoyed spending 4 days with him. Great guiding and very pleasant company. Also if you are a (hobby) photographer he is keen on angels and possibilities for some excellent photographic opportunities. All together we had a wonderfull stay for 5 nights.     Enchanting

    We were welcomed by a herd of elephants which really set the scene for our stay! All of the staff were so wonderful and made us feel very welcome and the game drives were incredible as was the food and our accommodation.

    Nice and picturesque lodge

    I recently stayed at Ruaha River Lodge for 4 ngihts with 4 friends. We enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautiful setting. The rooms had a lot of bush charm. The food was good but not great. The guiding was excellent though the driver of our safari vehicle was a little too aggressive at some sightings and I had to ask him to reign it in a little. The service was good (some little things but having been a camp manager in Zambia, I notice things others may not). The location of the Lodge is a bit far from the core area where the best wildlife sightings were. Each morning it took about an hour to get to the Mwagusi River where most of the other camps were located. That being said, we had great sightings of lion and leopard as well as a herd of 500+ buffalo at this core area. We were extremely lucky to see a cheetah not too far from the airstrip soon after our arrival into the park. This park is a nice quiet alternative to the busier north circuit parks of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire. On one all day drive, we did not see another vehicle. The one busy day was at a leopard sighting where there were about 10 other vehicles (essentially all of the vehicles probably out in the park that day). In the Serengeti or the Mara in Kenya, you could get dozens of vehicles at a leopard sighting. In all, the Ruaha River Lodge is a good choice for the safari goer to Ruaha.

    Once in a lifetime

    Amazing stay at Ruaha river lodge. Accomodation was gorgeous with a spectacular view. Food excellent and service very good. Everything was very clean and organised. What really made this trip extra special was our guide Pared, who from the very start tried to personalise our experience, ensuring that we got to see everything that we wanted to. His knowledge of the animals and plants was incredible. We were very sorry to leave and send our special thanks to Sally and of course Pared along with all the other staff who took great care of us.

    Perfect location at Ruaha River

    Beautiful authentic lodge at a wonderful location close to the Great Ruaha River. We spent 4 nights in Ruaha River Lodge and loved every single moment. The staff is very welcoming, friendly and helpful and food was so good! Asante sana for this wonderful stay. We‘ll be back! Anja and Jens
