  Aloha nui

  My stay at Aston Kāʻanapali Shores on September 10–11 was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Everyone I encountered was warm, professional, attentive, and willing to help, an excellent reflection of true island hospitality. I especially want to recognize Anna Leilani Enomoto for the outstanding hospitality and service she provided. Leilani went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and well taken care of. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine aloha made a lasting impression and elevated my entire experience. Service like hers is what turns a pleasant hotel stay into something truly memorable. Our Junior Suite with Kitchen was spacious, comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Having the kitchen and additional living space made the unit feel more like a home than a typical hotel room. The property itself was beautiful, relaxing, and welcoming, providing a wonderful place to return to after a busy day. Mahalo nui loa to Leilani and the entire Aston Kāʻanapali Shores team. Your professionalism and aloha did not go unnoticed. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend the property to anyone looking for comfortable accommodations and genuinely caring service on Maui.

  Not worth it hidden fees

  The hidden report fee adds up even though it was paid for on my 3rd party booking I got charge twice and the hotel wouldn’t refund my $350 even after showing them I paid for it Place is okay but definitely not worth $ 500 resort fee, on top of our daily rate. I would chose a nice hotel next time that doesn’t cost as much as this ended costing

  Bad experience

  I spent a fortune to stay here, and the experience was completely ruined by terrible policies and horrific service. First of all, they will find any excuse to shut down the amenities. You cannot use the tennis courts if they are even slightly damp, which is ridiculous given the morning dew and passing showers. On top of that, we weren’t allowed to use the cabana either, making it feel like we were paying premium prices for facilities we weren’t actually allowed to enjoy. But the absolute worst part of this resort is the staff. The lady who sits in the booth while you drive through was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She treated us horribly and made us feel extremely unwelcome. I have never felt so aggressively disrespected by a hotel employee in my life. Avoid this place until they retrain their staff and actually let guests use the amenities they paid for.

  Bad Experience in 806

  Kaanapali Shores unit 806. We rented this unit in August 2026. We found the unit to be very rundown and dirty. The mold odor was overwhelming and the air was thick! The walls, refrigerator, cabinets, ceiling tiles, drapes, lights, all had visible mold growing on them. Needless to say, we left asap!

  The Aloha Hospitality from 20 years ago is gone

  My family and I went Aug 2026. This would be our 4th time at this resort. Sadly, it will be our last. The Aloha friendly front desk, gate & restaurant staff are gone. Our first time in 2006 was amazing with great service and hospitality. I only gave the 2 stars because it’s a great location on the beach. Sadly, no A hui hoi this time. Tip: staff- people save & spends lots of money to come there to vacation and will have questions about rooms, local attractions etc… if this bothers you, time to retire or rethink of a new field of work. Look up “hospitality”, if you don’t have that human connection, don’t work in this area.
