Oct 07, 2025First visit to Kauai!
We were very surprised when we arrived our condo had no air conditioning! I was told most units do not have air. The front office helped move us to a suite with air in the bedroom, thankfully as we were there for 6 nights. I feel it should be advertised better on the website that air conditioning is limited. We had a great condo and the air in the bedroom was a savior! Pools were nice and location was great.

We had an awesome trip with a group of friends. Condo was comfortable and had a beautiful view. It was a girls getaway. The accommodations were perfect.

The Aston at Poipu Kai Kauai was a downright terrible experience. When my boyfriend and I arrived at the front desk we were asked to sign a contract that stated we would be charged an additional $180 cleaning fee to the room even though the reservation/booking contract never stated that and I had paid in full through a 3rd party booking site. When we asked about the charge the receptionist then printed out a final breakdown of all the charges which came to an additional $367 charge for a 2-night stay. Since this was nearly double what we had already paid, we said if this is the case we cannot stay here (it was wildly out of our budget). We made an ammendment to the contract in which the receptionist encouraged us to do and informed me that the manager will contact me on Monday and review the accuracy of my contract before charging my card an additional amount. The manager never called me on Monday and charged my account the additional $367. When I followed up on Thursday the receptionist, Kaysha, asked to see the contract, and when I sent it to her, she agreed that there was nothing in my contract that stated this and informed me the manager will call back when she could and couldn't guarantee a refund but assumed so. The manager never called back. So when I followed up on Friday, Kaysha told me I would have to ask for a refund from the 3rd party, even thought the 3rd party is not who charged me it was the Aston at Poipu Kai as a direct charge on my account. She finally agreed to transfer me to the manager who didn't answer and then when I called back they didn't answer. I would highly recommend only booking this place if you are financially equipped to pay double what you were expecting to pay. Not only is this illegal under the, Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Rule on Unfair or Deceptive Fees Act, it's also incredibly unethical and unfair to treat your guests this way.

Great Family Vacation with quick walk to EPIC Kauai beaches
We stayed in the pink buildings which while the color seemed odd it made it easy to find. Our units called "Makanui" was centrally located literally between Shipwrecks and Brenneckies Beach. Literally an 8 minute walk either way and your at some epic beaches. Our unit was upper unit which I suggest had great sunrise views and peek-a-boo ocean views. Our particular unit had full kitchen had to ask for rice cooker but other than that had everthing we needed. Unit was slightly older but worked fine. Who needs a TV in their room on vacation.......right! Pool was essentially a private pool right outside of the unit which made it great to chill and rinse off all of the salt after a beach session. Overall the Aston management team tended to all of our needs/messages promptly which was appreciated. Grounds were super clean and BBQ's were just outside of the unit were cleaned everyday. Now like other reviews have stated there will be s TAX SHOCK when you check-in. It sucks but it is what it is. Price to pay to stay in paradise!!

Wonderful experience full kitchen washer dryer in u it
Clean condo beautiful view of well Manicured property. The note property is immaculate. Pool clean everything on working order. Full kitchen and bath. Walking distance to beach! Excellent restaurant within walking distance! I was just super impressed with this property!
