  Needs inside transportation but gorgeous resort

  The place is amazing. Staff is extremely nice, attentive courteous and very professional. The food is great and the drinks. very clean and modern. Get ready to walk. There is LOTS of walking. Don’t stay in the south building if you don’t want to walk too much. Must of the restaurants and the best areas are in the north building. If you get pulled to the conference of legendary vacation club expect to spend 1/2 day there. Is NEVER 1 hr. Is an amazing club we love the club but they really need to step up the game and stop stealing half a day of relaxation sitting in an office fighting what to buy or not. Other than that the place deserves 5 stars or more.

  A Slice of Paradise 10mins from the Airport!

  From the moment we arrived at Ava Resort, it was clear we were in for something special. The beauty of the resort is truly breathtaking, and you can tell the staff work tirelessly to keep it that way — every corner is pristine and welcoming. The food was a delightful surprise — every meal felt like a hidden gem, full of flavor and variety. Room service was prompt and thoughtful, making those lazy mornings feel extra luxurious. Speaking of relaxation, the pools were sparkling clean, and the Ava Kids Club gave the little ones plenty to do (and gave the adults some precious spa time!). The spa itself was pure bliss — a perfect escape, while the gym stayed spotless and well-equipped for a quick workout. Our room was spacious and clean, though one evening we did have to call for turndown service — a tiny hiccup in an otherwise flawless stay. If I had one wish for the future, it would be for Ava Resort to add a sports-themed restaurant — and maybe a little more info about their app at check-in, since I only found out about it a few days in! Another great idea would be a bigger pool area or a mini water park for older kids — a few were getting a bit too lively for the little ones. All in all, Ava Resort is a wonderful escape — where luxury meets warmth, and every detail feels carefully curated. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming about our next visit!

  Beautiful Hotel - Great Experience

  We travelled here as a family of 4 with two kids aged 5 & 3. Highlights: •The outdoor kids area with slides is great. Nice and shallow and easy to keep the kids entertained for hours •The salt water lagoon is so nice for paddle boarding and kayaking. They open at 10am for these activities. •The cocktail bar in the north tower serves delicious drinks and the bartenders are excellent. •Breakfast buffet in the North tower was excellent and so many options. Loved having a mimosa with breakfast. •Favourite restaurants were Black Iron and Livo. Delicious food and atmosphere. •The kids club is huge and very well done. The best I’ve experienced at any resort we have been to. •Poolside service is great. We were never without a drink and could order food whenever we liked. The quesadillas and boneless wings were some of our poolside favourites. •Staff are attentive and friendly and lifeguards and security can be seen throughout the resort. •They have a kids menu at every restaurant for picky eaters. Chicken nuggets, pasta and burgers. We were super thankful for this as we have a child with Autism who needs his safe foods. •lots of activities for kids and teens like racing simulator, bowling, laser tag, etc. Tips/recommendations: •This resort is quite large and a lot of walking is involved. Be prepared for that. •If you are staying with kids, I suggest requesting a room in the north tower. It is closer to the kids club, kids pools and other kids activities. •Some of the more popular restaurants seem to book up fast. We emailed the pre-arrival concierge and they were very helpful with booking restaurants before our arrival. •Bring enough sunscreen and bug spray/afterbite. They are pricey at the gift shops. •Be aware that the beach is not the highlight of this resort. We did not miss it however, the size and extensive pool options of the resort made up for it. •Take your kids passport the first time you go to the kids club(during non family time) as they will need to see it. •We arrived at the resort late at night and did not experience any time share sales pitches like others have experienced. We were not approached by anyone for the entirety of our stay. •A deposit is taken on a credit card of approximately $100USD per night at the beginning of your stay. So prepare for this. Things like bowling can be charged to the room and you can see your bill as it updates on the app which is nice. •There is an atm next to the lobby that dispenses USD which was great. **Special shout out to staff members Alex, Alejandro, Hector, Jose, Orlando, Felix, Adrianna and Javier for making our stay extra special**

  Not impressed....

  Arrived about 1pm. It is 3:51 pm now and Still waiting for our room, but with with 4pm check stated, we have to roll with it. The sad part is they have no plan in place to let you know when room is ready. Really? It's 2025 and they have not figured out technology from Eary 2000's yet? Just walked about a half mile to see if our room was ready and the staff blew me off saying the systems were down. So it may be another 3 hours to check in. Not good at all compared to the 10-15 resorts in Cancun we have stayed at in the past. I advise staying with Secrets resorts who really take check in seriously.

  Ava resort rocks!!!!

  Ivan Urbano, Oscar, Mauricio, ismael, josue, uriel, y letty from Dez Night Club served me in a very profesional way, all so kind and smiley, I’ve never had a better experience in my life, all of them extremly recomended, and they have some nights bingo and karaoke
