  AVA is a 10/10 on all levels

  We were very excited to stay at Ava for the first time and it did not disappoint. It was a beautiful resort! The food was AMAZING, at every restaurant, the poolside menu, and the taco station. We loved all the different pools and areas to spend our days. The staff were some of the best we have had as well. Our family has owned with Legendary for 15 years and staff becomes like family to us. A special shout out to a few staff that stood out and went above and beyond!!! Enrique (adult and member pool), Jaime (member pool), Sergio entertainment who was so much fun to talk with and helped us out many times! And most of all our butler team of Edgar and Plutarco. We have known Edgar for several years and just adore him, and Plutarco matched his energy and we loved everything they did for us. Until next visit! Highly recommend this resort!

  Need to improve few minors

  I recently stayed at a hotel where the services provided by the staff were exceptional. I would especially like to highlight the remarkable experiences at the restaurant Minami, as well as Eliel and PiriDiana. The staff at the Dez disco were also fantastic, making the nightlife enjoyable. Sofia , at the legendary pool, provided outstanding service that truly stood out. While I would love to give a five-star rating, I encountered a few minor issues during my stay. On multiple occasions, I visited restaurants that had run out of items on the menu, which was disappointing. Additionally, I found the lunch selection at the buffet to be quite limited. Despite these minor setbacks, the dedication and friendliness of the staff completely made up for the shortcomings. Their incredible service left a lasting impression on my experience.

  Ever been dissapointed with a Diamond?

  I will start this review by stating I booked a room at the Hitlon Mar Caribe and on my day of travel, they informed me they were oversold and I was refunded my money... I hope, I get it, haven't looked. So, last second, we chose the Ava. Having stayed one property away, I knew the beach here is just plain horrible and i was avoiding this place. The rotting Sargassum makes the beach unswimmable and if the wind is coming inland, normal, the smell can reach the pool areas as well, killing that whole "beach vacation." This is where this place hits my list of places to not return. Flew thousands of miles to stay on a beachfront resort and now I have to Uber or Taxi to... "go to the beach." Hint for the resort. Get some beachside boat services, I would happily pay for a boat ride to some public beaches that are swimmable. There is zero here for you if you come for ocean activities, to include sunbathing on the beach. Staying in the Far North tower, F&F room. The room is very clean and well appointed. The hot tub outside can comfortably fit my family of 3 but there is zero instructions on how to use it. We got it full and the bubbles are easy to figure out but there are 4 different dials, two are water and have no idea what the other two do. Went from super cold to crazy hot and no clear means of how to adjust it. Room service is fantastic and they have great offerings 23 hours a day. Kinda weird, 11-12, you miss breakfast and the other menu is not available until noon. To be honest, 1130-1200 there is no dining anywhere in the resort. Keep this in mind if you want to grab a snack on your way out at Noon. (Standard checkout.) The resort is very new, very clean, and has fantastic service. Getting chairs or even cabanas for free has been zero issue and we haven't been pulling the towel crap at 7a just to get a spot. This might be inclusive to the N tower as everything on this end seems less busy than the rest of thus place but is a welcome change from most Mexican resorts.   First stay at Ava

  Beautiful new property Restaurants are exceptional. Great flavors!! Pools are great an very good service. Beach needs work an lots of help from Mother Nature. Lots of walking Not a bad thing! Rooms are very nice. Staff is friendly and helpful.

  Great family trip

  A few hiccups in the beginning but overall an amazing family vacation. We are Legendary Chairman members and we travel to the Hard Rock properties often, however, this was our first trip to Ava. There are still some kinks to work out overall but we had so much fun. The food was very good. Our favorite was Black Iron, the steak house, but we also enjoyed the Italian, Japanese and Mexican. Rodrigo was our waiter in the Mexican restaurant and he was on top of everything. We stayed in a 3 bedroom penthouse suite which was stunning and overall a fabulous room. Our butlers AB and Plutarco couldn’t have been more amazing. They handled everything from the pools chairs to cabanas to the spa and all of our dinners flawlessly. I would highly recommend them to any chairman members headed there. We met with Roberto Ortiz, our legendary rep, who has also become a great friend over the years. We didn’t upgrade this trip but we surely have plans to again in the near future. We spent most of our time at the legendary pool and when I say the waiters were amazing, I mean it. Jose and Jorge were there every day to make sure we were never hungry or thirsty and Jose always brought me a fun new drink to try each day. They were simply one of the highlights of our stay. I would definitely recommend checking out the resort if you haven’t already. The people there well outweigh the few hiccups of a new resort.
