  Love this place!

  We love this place for a daily beach pass! The food is great and you can eat it on the beach. I recommend the quesadilla and the salmon tacos! The staff is very friendly, especially Sheldon who helped us very well!

  A Place to Return to soon again.

  From the reception and bag porter through to discovering our room, we knew this was going to be a great stay. Sheldon, Sharone and Rose at the bar are awesome. As this is not an all inclusive resort, we found the prices to be fair and the drinks and food marvellous. We stayed in the Blues section on the second floor and we would need to be in the second floor again when we return. The sunset each night was magnificent and right outside our patio in the room we had. I’m writing this review with six more days remaining. We are loving it.

  Avila Beach Hotel

  Jose is a great bartender! Happy hour is amazing! I highly recommend him and the Avila Sheldon is very good to! Great hotel and nice beach

  A Home away from home!

  Another fantastic experience at Avila! This hotel is one of the few hotels that gives you that "homey feeling". The staff across all their outlets are very welcoming, friendly & helpful. Special thanks to Lysandro from the breakfast team for his kind service and all the high-fives with our baby girl. The hotel has 2 lovely beaches and nice snorkeling outside of the bay, you can even order drinks & food right from your beach chair by scanning a QR-code. We stayed 5 days in Avila and there are enough food & beverage options to keep you in the hotel, and otherwise some great restaurants right across the street if you want a change of scenery. Our room was lovely with a beautiful view over the ocean. We stayed here with our baby girl and it was really nice to be able to enjoy the beach and other amenities while our little girl was having her naps. All around a 5 star experience for us and big thankyou to everyone at Avila for this special vacation 🌟. Looking forward to our next stay!

  Wonderful short family staycation, exceptional service!

  I had a wonderful staycation at Avila this weekend with my 2 kids (7&2)! We spent 3 nights at the hotel, we booked 2 and extended with 1 night, we just didn't want to leave :). The room was super spacious and the kids were so happy with the bathtub! Nice to have a seperate shower next to the bathtub and a seperate "toilet room". Big balcony, comfortable beds and super clean. Nice coffee machine and good to have cutlery, plates and glasses in the room incase needed. We stayed on the hotel's premises the entire time as we are from the island and it was lovely to have everything available right there (breakfast/ lunch/ dinner/ outside beachbar with snacks) . It's located in a prime location, walking distance from downtown/ pietermaai for those who do want to explore the area. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the 2 beaches (very calm water due to the wave breakers and no rocks,just sand). They especially enjoyed playing on the SUP boards which are free to use at the beach. Nice reef just outside the cove for some snorkeling as well (gear for rent at the front office)! Also enjoyed the live music each evening we were there, if you're there on a Thursday evening head up to Blues for their live jazz night! We really loved the calm atmosphere and the great service by everyone working there, genuinly kind to us all, something you don't experience everywhere! I also enjoyed reading the history of the hotel and it's buildings while in the lobby as well :)! All in all a definite recommendation to all others out there both with and without kids!!! It's worth every penny.
