  ⭐ 1 STAR — SAVE YOUR MONEY! DO NOT STAY HERE! Bahia Principe Explore Legend was the worst all-inclusive resort I have ever experienced. It advertises itself as 5-star, but our experience was nowhere near 5-star quality. Our room had mold, broken/falling doors, and housekeeping cleaned only ONCE during our 7-day stay. We constantly had to call for towels and washcloths. The “complimentary” minibar was never restocked, despite repeated calls to the lobby. The buffet was absolutely disgusting. We encountered dead roaches in food and live roaches crawling on tables and guests’ plates, as well as roaches in the bathrooms. We also saw termites throughout the cabinetry. Our family of seven, including a 4-year-old, was horrified. Restaurant reservations were extremely difficult, making dining outside the buffet nearly impossible. The beds and pillows were terribly uncomfortable, and the pull-out couch mattress was stained. The beach was covered in seaweed, despite being told it was regularly cleaned. The advertised “casino” was basically just a handful of slot machines. On our final day, August 29, 2026, two employees were screaming at each other in the hallway and nearly came to blows. I had to complain to management multiple times throughout our stay. For the amount of money we paid, this was completely unacceptable. I am requesting a full refund. 🚨 DON’T LET THE 5-STAR CLAIM FOOL YOU. THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING THIS RESORT. OUR FAMILY WILL NEVER RETURN.

  The air conditioning in the main restaurants is broken.

  The air conditioning in the main restaurants (Larimar and Le Gourmet) was broken. According to the staff, the problem has been going on for some time, but I trust the hotel's efficiency and believe it will be resolved soon; I will provide an update once it is fixed. That said, it offers good value for money, with very good food and attentive staff. I’ll be back soon! El aire acondicionado de los principales restaurantes (Larimar y Le Gourmet) estaba averiado. Según el personal, el problema persiste desde hace algún tiempo, pero confiando en la eficiencia del hotel, pronto se solucionará; en ese caso, volveré con información actualizada. Por lo demás, la relación calidad-precio es buena: comida excelente y personal atento. ¡Volveré pronto! Ar condicionado dos principais restaurantes (Larimar e Le Gourmet) ESTRAGADO. De acordo com os funcionários o problema persiste ha algum tempo, mas acreditando na eficiência do hotel, em breve o problema será solucionado; neste caso retornarei com informações atualizadas. Além disso, o custo benefício é válido, comida muito boa e funcionários atenciosos. Retornarei em breve!

  Disappointed

  2nd time here, came here 7 years ago when it was known as the Fantasia. The shows were much better and the service was much better. Unfortunately it has taken a dip since then. You have to beg to get your room cleaned and many days it was often just left. Same as replenishing the water and soft drinks in your fridge. Most days I had to go collect them myself. Shows on an evening that were once impressive very poor these days. The main restaurant “Larimar” was once well air conditioned now they save pennies and leave the doors open for all the mosquitos to come in instead. Won’t be going back, there are better places to be had for the money

  Great stay with a few negatives

  We stayed atbl the Amber Adults only resort. The resort is very well maintained with great amenities. We loved our swim out room for a more laid back pool experience. The staff is amazing. Our room was kept very clean and everyone was super friendly from housekeeping staff, to restaurant staff, to guest experience, and reception. Our room was located close to both the pool and beach making it very convenient. The Palmyra buffet was excellent with a wide variety of options. We also enjoyed Taino, Thali, and Yurta. We weren't crazy about Rodizio (very tough cuts of meat.) I wish there was more entertainment at Ambar in the evening. One of our party has some mobility issues so taking the tram to the Village was a chore. It would be nice to have some shaded areas in the pool; maybe stretch sails over some sections. Unfortunately the sargassum made it impossible to enjoy the beach other than lounging in the breeze off the water. Some resorts seemed to have better clean up methods based on information shared from guests. My biggest complaint is the outside vendors they allow to come onto the beachfront property to sell their goods and services. It was a constant barrage and some didn't want to take a polite no thank you for an answer. Overall a great stay but its a shame the beach isn't cleaner and more relaxing.

  Great for family

  Bahia Principe Legend is great for kids and family. There are tones of activities, restaurants, bars pools that you can use through out all 5 Bahia resorts. All the staffs are very friendly but We would like to especially thank Francisco from the front desk who was very helpful from the beginning. We will definitely come back and recommend to our friends. Drinks at the Bars could be little less sweet.
