Beautiful resort with very average entertainment.

We are travelling to all inclusive resorts as a family for over 15 years and this resort was the worst regarding kids entertainment. Mini disco. Usually mini disco is in the theater where parents can sit and watch their kids dance. In Fantasia mini disco was in the small area in the lobby and if you are not lucky to stand in front watching your kids, then you have to stand behind other parents and hardly see your child. My daughter got frustrated that she couldn’t see me so she didn’t want to come back. Evening shows weren’t every day. There were 3 shows during our week stay. So without good mini disco and shows we had nothing to do some evenings. That’s not what you expect from kid-centered castle themes resort. Castle Mini club looked beautiful outside, so we expected to be superior inside, like 2-story playground, trampolines or other fun stuff. We had a look inside and saw some rooms with tables, nothing exciting so my kid didn’t care to go there. Water park. Waterpark was fun, but the longest orange slide was closed for the entire week of our stay. We visited waterpark at nearby Bahia Turquesa and 2 slides were out of order over there too. It looks like the resort isn’t in hurry to fix what is broken. Also a coffee machine in the lobby was dispensing just water for the whole week. The amount of vendors on the resort and on the beach was overwhelming. They were trying to sell you something, sometimes aggressively, in a lobby, on the resort grounds, but the worst was at the beach. They would come to you every 2-4 minutes and try to cell cigars, souvenirs, jewelry, toys, braids, massage, excursions. One massage lady just grabbed my feet and wanted to massage them. That just freaked me out. So most of the time we spent next to the pool because we couldn’t relax at the beach. On a positive side the resort was clean and beautiful, mini fridge was restocked and we never ran out of drinking water. They also put in mini fridge boxes of juice, milk, chocolate milk and other drinks. Pool or beach lounges was always available throughout the day. We never had to stay in line to get into the buffet. My suggestion is to come to the breakfast buffet no later than 8.30 am. Its getting very crowded at 9 am. and some mornings no one even offered us a cup of coffee or water. When we came at 8 a.m. it wasn’t too busy and we managed even to get a second cup of coffee. The most memorable experience was a dinner show at the restaurant Oneiro. Potion like drinks, fairies walking around, singing and beautiful show. That was excellent.

    Best family vacation!

Best family vacation! We stayed the previous year at Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana and loved it. Decided to try Fantasia this year and so glad we did! Really nothing to complain about as if there was anything wrong they wanted to fix it immediately!! Everything was very clean, food tasted great, staff was great! We loved Osleidy at the buffet, she is on top of it and we loved seeing her friendly, smiling face every time we visited the buffet! Kennedy at the castle and wave pool bar was just as good and on top of drinks and always friendly. We had two "bad weather" days i.e. lots of wind but still warm enough to be outside. We loved there was always something to do for our 3 year old. Water park and pools were amazing! Lifeguards are very on top of things. Mini disco was so fun every night after dinner. We are still listening to the songs and doing the dances. We loved the Oneiro show! Loved the a la carts: hibachi at Maiko, Le Gourmet and Las Olas (brazilian) and Mikaido - again great food and staff. Very memorable trip and we hope to return!

    AVOID THIS HOTEL

Horrible experience. Three out of four people in our group got sick during our stay. Both of our children—an 8-month-old baby and a 3-year-old—contracted hand, foot, and mouth disease, which is completely unacceptable. This is not a 5-star hotel by any standard. The staff were unfriendly, the rooms were rundown, and the food was awful. Overall, extremely disappointing and not a place we would ever return to or recommend—especially for families.

awful- worst beds- worst service - disgusting buffet - hotel is dirty

This hotel is extremely disappointing. Many of the positive reviews appear questionable, and based on my experience, they do not reflect reality. The food quality is very poor, and during my stay I personally observed numerous sanitation and cleanliness issues that would raise serious health concerns. I am honestly surprised more guests are not reporting illness. Overall cleanliness is lacking, and customer service is consistently poor. Additionally, I had a troubling experience with staff honesty. I asked the front desk to help arrange transportation to the airport. I was initially told it would be $40 per person, which felt excessive, but as I was traveling alone with two children and needed a reliable ride, I agreed. The next day, I asked a different front desk employee for clarification and was told the total cost was $40 for the ride, not per person. This inconsistency strongly suggests the initial quote was misleading and raises concerns about staff integrity. To make matters worse, a personal item went missing from my room. My phone charger port disappeared after housekeeping serviced the room. I am certain it was there before cleaning, as my phone was charging when I left. The cord had been moved under the TV, but the port was gone. While the item itself is inexpensive, that is not the point. When personal belongings go missing, it creates a feeling of insecurity and distrust. Housekeeping denied moving anything and offered a replacement charger, which I accepted out of necessity, but my original item was never recovered. Overall, this was an uncomfortable and frustrating stay. Between the cleanliness issues, poor service, questionable pricing practices, and missing personal property, I would not recommend this hotel.

    Great Vacation

We really loved our stay at this resort. They had activities going for the kids and adults. Not far from the beach, you could walk or take their cute shuttle transportation back and forth. If you wanted to stay at the beach area they had a buffet very close by to enjoy and not have to go back to the resort. The buffet at the resort had many options, was happy they also had good soup. Entertainment would continue in the evening time which was very entertaining. Had a foam party in the pool which was so much fun, dancing exercises in the pool as well. They had a great area for the kids and waterslides. Meals at their various locations were really good, loved the Mongolian restaurant. Also went to the Japanese one also entertaining and delicious. Had a meal on location which was a dinner and a show, very good. All in all we had a Fabulous time on our first vacation in Punta Cana. Loved Bahia Principe Fantasia and would love to go back again some day. I highly recommend this location for family’s. Staff were all great!
