  Five star ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  What can I say my wife and I had amazing time as we went out on our honeymoon. We was upgraded to a premium room for free . All the staff was very polite and friendly even though some spoke little English they tried to understand . We had laugh withe staff on the buggy 🛺 busses 🚌 up and down the hotel 😆 all the staff made us welcome no issues. The only thing I would comment on is if you like your English breakfast and food and are fussy about your food this is probably not the place for you but apart from that the food was good and different verity and sweet food

  Not ideal to say the least.

  We are currently staying at the resort for two weekends, and unfortunately, we have now experienced the same issue twice, with our pool being closed due to someone defecating in it. This left us with very limited alternatives: either the beach pool or the beach itself, especially as the other pool is currently under construction. To make matters worse, the second closure occurred on the day the foam party was scheduled, significantly affecting our ability to enjoy the facilities and activities we had booked the resort for. I approached Guest Services to ask whether we could use one of the other pools, but I was made to feel as though my request was unreasonable. After waiting an hour in our room for a manager to call me back, the only solution offered was access to the Aquamarine pool for the last hour of the day—approximately two and a half hours after our pool had initially closed. What made the situation even more frustrating was that neither our resort representative nor Guest Services appeared to be aware that the pool had been closed. The closure was still in effect the following morning, yet there seemed to be little communication or proactive assistance offered to guests affected by the disruption. I appreciate that the resort cannot always prevent incidents like this from happening, and I understand that pool closures may be necessary for hygiene and safety reasons. However, I do expect better communication, customer service, and reasonable alternative arrangements when guests are unable to use the facilities they have paid for. Had I known that we would experience these circumstances during our weekend stays, I would not have booked this resort. This has had a significant impact on our holiday experience, and I believe the way the situation was handled fell well below the standard of service guests should reasonably expect. I would appreciate a formal response explaining how this situation was managed and what compensation or goodwill gesture the resort is prepared to offer for the disruption and loss of facilities during our stay.

  Value for money

  Staff fantastic, buffet restaurant gets very busy at weekends, food ok. Speciality restaurants fantastic, my Spanish very limited but staff brilliant, food selection very good. Weekends get very busy with hotel open to locals. Plenty of sunbeds around the pools, plenty of pools.Suggest using sports bar at these busy times. Very large complex, could do with another bar or two. Buggies take you around complex, found them often and drivers very helpful. Use shops just outside lobby not in complex as very, very expensive. It is a very big complex of hotels so don’t get lost.

  So far not so good

  Here right now and first impressions were ok. We previously stayed at the Ambar and decided to give Explore a try! Bad decision, now I know it’s not luxury or adults only so was prepared for children and less amenities but what we got was poor. Our first room was so damp it affected my asthma badly but to be fair they sorted that quickly and we were given a new room which wasn’t too bad. What we were NOT told or prepared for was the influx of locals who get to use the hotel every weekend! There are just so many and you can’t get into lunch in the buffet and if you do you literally get pushed out of the way so we gave up on lunch times! The pools are completely taken over and good luck with getting served at the pool bars! 2 days running now and the pool we use has been closed, first because a local was sick in the pool after too much alcohol (they clearly got served ok!) and the second time I have no clue why but clearly for hygiene again. We still have 8 days to go and over another weekend so we’ve asked to move for our last 3 nights to the Ambar so at least we can get breakfast and dinner and pool bar service ! At our cost of course but at least that gives us a better end to our holiday. The food is not great, the Mexican à la carte was inedible and we had to ask 3 times for a second glass of wine. The Truck is absolutely awful! Food is disgusting! Stale bread with raw hotdogs! And very very rude staff. Which is a shame because most staff are very polite and amenable. Just be warned…. Weekends here are dreadful and for that reason, I would not return.

  Exceptional resort!!

  I have been in Punta Cana many times and i can confirm that this was the best experience ever! The site is impeccable, the à la carte restaurants are exceptional, the beach is great, the shows are the bests i've seen for sure!
