Review I’ll make it easy, here is how I’d rank the resort 1-10: Food: 6 Beach: 9 Pool: 9 Pool Seating: 8 Overall Aesthetic: 7 Rooms: 6 Beds: 9 Nightlife: 7 Highlights: The resort is very peaceful. We’ve stayed at other Punta Cana resorts (Royalton Hideaway) that were so loud. The crowd at this resort are older and more tame. Even in the daytime nobody was getting rowdy. The nightlife reflected that. We spent most nights shooting pool with folks and relaxing, although we did go to the casino a few times. Depends on Preference: The adults only side has 2 bars, the lobby and the beach. The beach closes at 8 and the lobby bar at midnight. The place is a ghost town past midnight. If you do want to venture out late you’ll have to take the shuttle to the Palace side which has 1 24 hour eatery and the casino/club. If you want something quiet at night and peaceful in the day, this is a good option Lowlights: The check in took a while and despite coming at 4 our room wasn’t ready until 5. The food isn’t great, it’s honestly just passable. There is also no snack restaurant for eating between buffet hours. This is crazy to me. Every place we go has had somewhere to get food during the day. The buffet was closed from 11-1 and 4-630. There were no options for food during this time outside of paid room service. Despite being a peaceful resort, it was not very intimate. You don’t get much time to get to know the bartenders, servers or workers at all. there are only two bars, so they’re always packed. In conclusion, the resort was good enough to not be bad. I’d be surprised if we would consider visiting again, but I could see why some people would. If the food were better I’d return.

Family trip
I enjoyed my family vacation, and it is a good hotel. Much better than Barceló Bávaro, which tends to be very crowded. However, it is not safe for women. Whether traveling as a couple or with friends, the male staff are very inappropriate and act as if they have familiarity they do not have.

Barcelo bavaro once very good, now its the worst. Food is now very bad with very limited options unless you enjoy 25 variations of rice. Good 6 inch cockoroach in my room. Be aware of what they call supwrior room, what they call superior is basic everywhere else

The property is huge! and situated on a very ideal, scenic setting. The foods is slightly above average. However, my bed had a very sweaty, musky odor. The front desk staff need more adequate training. My check-in, and key programming process was a mess.
