It was good experience but I will not go back… my expectations are a lot higher, on the first day of my stay there was a leak in my bathroom, poor maintenance of the outside restrooms by the pool bar

Very nice resort, well run and looked after, good food. Excellent staff. Was extremely busy with families and overwhelming with crowds at pools and restaurants. But understand as hotel would have been mostly empty if relying on Canadians only for visitors.

first time in Barcelo hotels and was not bad
First time staying in the Barcelo hotels and experience was not bad but not great, hotel needs some improvements but overall, I will definitely stay here again

Disappointing
The food and lack of pool service was very disappointing. We enjoyed the Beautiful beach and friendly staff. We’ll likely stay somewhere else next time.

My husband and I went to Ixtapa Barcelo for our Honeymoon. We were both so exhausted when we got here I thought we would sleep the entire time. Much to our delight we enjoyed the hospitality so much at the Barcelo that we went on excursions and snorkels and played each and every day. We go back refreshed and ready to take on the world with smiles to light the winter skies in Canada. Much gratitude to the devoted staff at the Barcelo. We will return!
