Beach, drinks, and relaxation
From the moment we first arrived at Barceló Karmina we were greeted with beautiful views. Check in was smooth and easy, with a complementary drink while you wait. Our suite had a gorgeous view of the ocean. Each room in the suite was spacious with stunning bathrooms. The beach and pools were refreshing and relaxing. Plenty of activities to keep you busy and 3 meals a day at the buffet.

Thanks so much.
The Barceló family is nice!!! Thanks so much for this experience! I love Manzanillo, we stay for 9 nights. Everything is good!

Overpriced, unpleasant young female staff, over crowded & understaffed kitchen, cruise ship vibes.
This was our second time here, the first being our honeymoon. Dirty air ducts in vent returns and closet wood slits. CAR WAS KEYED IN THE PARKING LOT on the lower level. Came to make reservations for evening dining at 9:30am and was turned away telling us we need to come back after 10am. Woman was very snooty about it. Apparently we picked a bad time to come because the buffet was often out of stock on many food items, and with only one person making omelettes you have to wait in line for 15 minutes while the rest of your family eats or their food gets cold, waiting. Didn't use the pools because it was full of 100's of people who were drinking, and never got out of the pool, all day. It should have been a classy experience, considering the prices, but it ended up feeling like being on an over crowded cruise ship. Bus boy service, however was FANTASTIC. However, we won't be back.

Another relaxing getaway...
Judging by all the expensive cars in the underground parking lot, this resort is frequented primarily by well-to-do Tapatíos (people from Guadalajara) and other Mexicans from neighboring states! This creates an extremely friendly vibe amongst the guests with a surprising amount fluent in English. If you don't mind saying "Buenos Dias" to 20 - 30 guests on your walk to the breakfast buffet every morning, then you will easily embrace this resort. Cancun may have the white sand and picturesque beaches but this resort offers a true classy Mexican experience and you don't have to speak fluent Spanish to immerse yourself in the culture. Be sure to walk along the little road, through a couple of other resorts, to Las Hadas (The Fairies) and the marina there - maybe have lunch or dinner on the quayside...

My experience at Karmina Barcelo
The night show was incredible. Food was really good AND the hotel staff was really kind and friendly. The performers at the night show went above and beyond, truly a great show.
