Aug 27, 2026Great views and great attention to detail
First time staying at this hotel, while on a family trip to Managua and couldn’t be much happier with our choice. The only drawback to this location is that it sits a bit remote from nearby restaurants and other businesses, but it has a privileged location for views of the city and lakes. Our stay of 10 nights was excellent, all including the room, cleanliness, service and consumables. The buffet breakfast was additional for our rate but we did try it a couple of mornings and it was excellent. Our room attendant Natalia Gonzalez and team supervisor Jacqueline Guzman were above average! Everyone from front desk, room service waitresses, to the bar team became our home away from friends and were always ready to make our stay the best vacation possible. Thanks to all! We loved this Doubletree and their delicious cookies!!!

Excellent place to escape to from Canada
My wife and I and our 2 adult children flew from Canada to spend a week with our Nicaraguan daughter and her family. We booked 5 rooms at the DoubleTree and absolutely loved every part of our stay there. Other close friends either stayed with us or came to visit us at the hotel. The large pool provided a great break from the heat and not only did the young kids enjoy it but also the adults. The large patio deck above the pool was shaded. It gave us a great spot to enjoy the view while enjoying our meals, family time and playing games. Front desk and hotel staff were very accomodating and friendly to our group. A special shout-out to all of the restaurant staff as they provided us the best service all day long. They made our stay there that much more special. Thank you especially to Gema Mercado and Yorleni for your patience with our group and our limited knowledge of spanish. Thank goodness for our great interpreter. We appreciate their patience with our group! We look forward to our next stay. The Parrish family

Great service from the Jennifer, not very good service from Lucero
This review is for Jennifer Silva, the lady who cleaned the room for us, who did an amazing job cleaning the room. Very grateful for her job. On the other hand, we are not happy with Lucero, who appeared to be the manager. We had not had a chance to use the pool and asked her if she would allow us to stay in the pool after doing the checkout. She said we had to pay for the consumables, as if we had not stayed at the hotel. This is the 1st time that’s asked from us after staying at a Hilton Honours, as HH members for many years (and not staying at any other hotels while traveling through different countries).

My stay at this hotel was wonderful. I received warm and professional attention from the staff, who were always willing to help. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable perfect for relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and offered a great variety, I would definitely come back and highly recommend it, i love the welcome cookies!💕🍪

Apr 27, 2025Not eating again at Maderas bar and lounge
The food at the Maderas bar and lounge restaurant by the pool is awful: my workers and me ordered appetizers only 1 out of 4 was good, which was ceviche. The other three appetizers they were dry, overly breaded. With Chewy seafood and or really bad choice for sauce to deep the appetizer. The attention at the restaurant was good in fact it was excellent and we could see that they wanted to please our pallet, but they did not cook anything so they could not help us with that other than to offer us something else to eat. The waiters did the best to please our taste really the food quality was awful. The hotel itself is amazing. The staff is really good and attentive. The hotel is clean and spacious but again the food at Maderas bar and lounge restaurant by the pool is awesome. The Japanese restaurant is good at is the only place I’ve eaten a good meal there in another state I have before. I hope that the chef and that restaurant by the pool learn how to cook everything better.
