    Much improvement needed!

    Terrible customer service. Rooms were very outdated: a/c control panel on wall wasn’t attached, stains all over the ceiling, dated furniture, bathroom sink filled with water and was slow to drain, and the shower head was squirting water out everywhere but the shower novels, much less securely attached in the wall. Resort facilities from pool to landscaping were impressive.

    Tropical and Dressel Divers

    Had a great time at the absolute beautiful resort. Everyone was extremely pleasant. Got my certification to dive and my dive instructor at dressel divers was GG (not sure how he spells it) who was phenomenal.....Martha was also fabulous to talk with and very knowledgeable.

    Activities

    Leslie Gomez, Isabel Torres and Lizet Flores in tropical were excellent with all the activities. We had so much fun with all of the activities. We had so much fun with all of them

    Beautiful resort, but...

    Barcelo tried very hard to create a resort with clean, beautiful grounds. The entire staff was helpful and efficient. The rooms and common areas were clean. However, the showers were low pressure and the water temperature was tepid. The tiles throughout the resort were slippery. We slipped and one of us fell in the hallway. We had a mini suite over-looking the pool, and we would have rather overlooked a roof. We could not escape the constant music and DJ games that went on continuously throughout the day. We requested a quiet, restful room, and this was not it. The open-air theater performances continued until after 10:30 p.m. It was impossible to escape the noise. The specialty restaurants were good, especially Tokyo. The breakfast and lunch buffets were unsatisfactory. Food was room temperature, instead of hot. Omelets were raw, and food was left far too long, so it was unappealing. I had ham and cheese sandwiches for days because nothing else looked appetizing. We enjoyed our time there, but would not return to this resort.

    Experience

    The hotel and buffet is good. But some staff like housekeeping and some waiter and waitress dont speak english . Its hard to communicate with them.
