    Disappointing

    Dont stay here. This is not a five star hotel. Tell me how me and my girlfriend are relaxing in the balcony with our robes on and a male staff open our door to come on. We screamed, that was so scary and it was at 7pm. I told the reception about the incident and all they say was "oh ok" They don't care.

    We spent one night here before our long trip to our destination. The staff was kind and friendly, providing top-notch customer service. The room was immaculate, and I slept like a baby! I highly recommend Barceló and we will definitely be back!

    Bed Bugs - Beware

    I have stayed over the years at this hotel when I visited Costa Rica but the quality and overall experience kept decreasing. What kept me booking with them were their prices, which seemed too good to be true. Alas, they were - my last stay was filled with bugs, bed bugs, etc. the worst part of this ordeal is that the hotel refused to acknowledge the issue, pretending that it wasn’t a big deal. Apparently, this hotel now caters mostly to locals via events, etc. So, they care little about the international tourists …

    I will go again!

    It was a wonderful experience. Beautiful hotel, close to everything. They call a taxi so you can go everywhere. They offer to the guests free transportation from and to the airport. I had a very good time staying in Barcelo San Jose. I also experience the same in Barcelo Tambor. excellent both!
