The hotel has completely removed the adults only elements of the hotel with no warning or communication. The ‘upgrade’ to sunclub produced no extra benefits apart from a separate pool which was just as busy and crowded with families and children as the main pool. The staff didn’t seem particularly bothered or willing to help including the so called supervisor.

Don’t waste your time
This is our second stay at this hotel and we can’t believe the downgrade of the hotel in just two years. We paid a significant amount more to upgrade to the sunclub which the benefits do not cover the cost. Would not recommend the hotel even at the basic room level and will not be returning.

Rooms need up dates and some cleaning moldy smelling and food was awful. It’s been a week since we left. The day we were leaving I got very sick with diarrhea and followed with vomiting and I’m still sick a week later. My husband has been ill also and we believe it was the food. My daughter was fine but barely would eat because the food was gross. The people were great but couldn’t really understand anyone. Also did the upgrade and was given coupons to use around the resort, guess what- you can’t use them for almost anything so that was a waste.

While the resort itself was lovely and the entertainment was a 10/10, overall my experience fell short. The beach was completely unusable due to a heavy buildup of foul-smelling sargassum weed, which made swimming impossible—a huge disappointment for a beach lover visiting the Caribbean. The buffet food was another letdown, rating only a 4/10 because everything was virtually tasteless when I was really hoping for authentic Dominican flavors. Additionally, the kids' area was just average (6/10). Although the service staff was great and the entertainment was top-notch, missing out on the ocean experience means I likely won't return.

Generally friendly staff, bit of a language barrier sometimes though. Absolutely amazing entertainment! They deserve much praise, I was very impressed with how much work they put into their shows. Some hagglers on the beach which was a little annoying but just don’t engage with them and they’ll leave. The biggest disappointment was the beach, it was covered in weeds and the smell was horrid sometimes.
