Dec 16, 2025Great trip at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana
My husband and I have just returned home from an awesome 10 day vacation at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana. Each day, we had breakfast, many lunches and dinners at Kaleidoscope Buffet where, when we walked in, we were greeted with big smiles and welcomed by the amazing ‘Carlos’ and ‘Zoila’. They always took great pride in their work to make us and all the guests feel welcome and ensure you were seated, served and catered to. Thank you to both of you for that! We enjoyed the Sunclub pool and frequented the Flip Flopz Bar & Grill multiple times a day. Lots of specialty drinks and cold beer, great burgers, fries, nachos etc. All the bar and kitchen staff were outstanding. Special shout out to Pedro, Yurke, Artimedes and Precious, Make sure you get Pedro, to make you a ‘Banana Momma’! Our housekeeper, Josefina, ‘Bldg 1 - 2nd floor, kept our room spotless, and stocked our fridge daily. Thank you! THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING OUR TRIP A MEMORABLE ONE!

Food was good, beach was good, intertainment was awesome, hotel was old, some building is renovated and some of them not. Swimming pool need to clean more. The slide was so good. Try to book the restaurant, its better service.

Dec 16, 2025If you're looking to relax, reconsider using this venue
Location was nice and the room had a great view. The food was low quality overall, but we enjoyed the Mexican restaurant on site. Check-in was slow and it took forever to get to our room (we arrived well after check in, so it shouldn't have been an issue) and then were bombarded with tons of "upgrades" that we had no idea if we even wanted since we had just arrived to the property. The beach was flooded with people wanting to sell something, so it was hardly a place to relax and enjoy the sand, sun, and peace the ocean can bring. There were no smoking signs all over the property, but guests smoked wherever they wanted. We definitely will not return to this property in the future.

2 star hotel at best
I recently stayed at Sunscape Coco. I will preface this review by saying this is my 4th trip to DR in 2 years. So, my review is based on comparing Sunscape to the other Punta Cana Resorts. We booked the sun club 2 bedroom ocean front family suite. Check in was a disaster. They gave us two single bedrooms versus the 2 bedroom suite that has living room area. When I realized we were lied to and paid for something else.... We got other stories of why what we reserved 4 months prior wasn't available. Then we were told maintenance had it out and hopefully the next day it would be ready and he would make it up and work something for our troubles. Abraham lied and failed. The next day around 4pm we got the room we paid for and nothing else for their screw up. When we got to the room... It's still had a happy Birthday thing on door.. My guess is from previous guests. We think they booked our room to someone else and lie to customers. The room had all kinda of issues. Abraham the manager guy failed us and did nothing to make things right. Housekeeping, maintenance, and the app were horrible…we would request things like towels and It would take 5 hrs and a trip to front desk for support. One day they cleaned our room and never brought in new towels trash bags and do much of anything. Our tvs never had cable… Maintenance was out at least twice with no resolution or follow up. We waited over 5 hrs before giving up on mini bar refresh since they had not refreshed it during the stay. We had issues with room key cards and Juan in concierge acting like we were lieing… Total jack. Customer service is the worst out of all the places we have stayed Positive stuff: The resort layout is very easy to walk around and find everything. A-LA-Cart restaurants was the best places to eat but the process to reserve was the worst. The Beach - not the nicest stretch on this side of Punta Cana, but if you walk down past dreams to the left it is better and worth the walk. Lots of boats in front of the resort. This resort is definitely not a 5 star… Maybe a 2 star. If you have low expectations and go to just drink you may love it. Personally I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are better, cleaner, cheaper places.

Best vacation!
The best service ever! He’s always happy, singing and makes you feel so welcome! We love you Carlos! Kaleidoscope is the best restaurant in all of Sunscape resort!
